SH5T I didn't realise how bad it had been. I was pretty confident but reading this it looks a massive ask.

We had the more dangerous Bolasie (an unknown quantity to most prem teams). Now with a fit zaha we are very predictable.

Quite a few overtakeable sides also making a poor start there.

Genius loan forward signing i'm less confident of, but maybe Dougie can find someone somewhere in the world.

Zaha is never predictable. That's why he was by far the most fouled Premier League player last season. If he was so predictable they'd calmly take the ball off him.

He scored none and had 4 assists that season... not sure what you mean by more dangerous

Its doable. If we have got most of the bad shit out of the way early this season and Roy can now start to get the best out of our best players and mold them into a useful side, its possible. A team including most of Andros Townsend, Sakho, Cabaye, Zaha, Fosu-Mensah, Benteke, Loftus-Cheek and Milivojevic should not be bottom of the league. These are all good players that can beat Arsenal and Chelsea recently. Just need confidence and belief and the right system to get them enjoying football like they should be doing.

The point is if there's no other threats you just put three men on him and we're done. He's good but he's not going to go past three (and then provide a quality delivery) regularly enough to create enough chances to win games. Given our chance conversion rate at the moment, we look like needing about 20 clear-cut chances just to score one.

I have always felt we'll be ok. Not sure why so many people have seemed to give up on us already. This is Palace, this is the way we do it.

Yeah they will rightly take a lot of confidence from today. Shows we can play without strikers quite effectively. Think Swansea are more than catchable too. Just need to take each challenge as it comes. Newcastle away is difficult, but they are only as difficult as you make it. That system employed today will confuse a lot more worse sides than Chelsea. 1 on the board.
