Given the significance of the game, and how difficult it'll be to get to for many on 23 December, it might have been a good contender for a free coach voucher. Ah well.

Why does December 23rd make it any more difficult to get to than any other day?

People often have other commitments, things to spend money on etc at that time of year perhaps?

Not forgetting that Saturday the 23rd is the last full day of service for the railway before Christmas as Christmas Eve is a Sunday with the lesser service and the inevitable even earlier shut down on Sunday evening. Due to this expect the Saturday trains to be rammed full with people avoiding travelling out on the Sunday.

Lots of people getting in their excuses already DE, probably the same ones who would've moaned at the club if we'd taken the smaller allocation.

Excellent news that the club have taken the full allocation. I think they should also drop the loyalty points and multiple phases and just go straight to 4 (or more) per person from tomorrow, as that would give them the best chance of maximising ticket sales and there's no chance that anybody would miss out. But I guess most people know by now that they can just wait for the later phases in order to buy tickets together so it wouldn't make too much difference.

Slightly off topic tickets and travel wise but one of the girls at work is well proud of her grandson who will be our mascot on the day.

Maybe they should make a Swansea away ticket part of the criteria for a Brighton cup ticket? That should sort out the men from the boys.

For those looking at travel:

Trains

Cheapest is super off peak return, allows any train but seat reservations are possible online only. Optimal is London Paddington 10:45 via Reading, return 18:29. 82.30.
If you split this ticket at Reading and Swindon, the price comes down to 74.29. Cheapest I can find right now, all the advance tickets are more money.
First class 195.50.

It is possible to do it for 65:
London Marylebone - Birmingham Moor Street
Birmingham New Street - Bristol Parkway
Bristol Parkway - Swansea
Swansea - Bristol Parkway
Bristol Parkway - Birmingham New Street
Birmingham Moor Street - London Marylebone.
For this you'd need to split tickets at Birmingham, Cheltenham Spa, and Cardiff. PM me if you want details.

Coach

Club coach 25 return. Depart 08:00.

You can usually move around quite freely at the Liberty (appropriately named). There are no barriers between the lower and upper sections at the away end.

You would've hoped people have already bought, considering the advance prices. I got mine 30 return back in October.
