Driving down, going to town for the day, getting a cab up there, getting a cab back to town afterwards for post-match beers, stay over, breakfast next morning, drive back to continue celebrations in Croydonia Wed lunch, sorted

Really? I'd rather save my annual leave for games I could actually watch.

If I was closer to the ground, I'd probably go and watch the beamback at Selhurst but to travel to Brighton (in November) for a few drinks prior to a non-televised match doesn't sound like much fun to me.

He's got a point though. Where are all the ticketless fans planning on actually watching the game?

All day drinking in Brighton then a fast train to EC for the beamback could be an option, or someone brings their laptop and streams it from Wetherspoons. That could be fun

Whilst everyone likes a big booze up with mates, the thought of not being able to see the game either at the match or a minimum on a screen would horrify me. Just being in the City would not cut it for me. That said, there must be bars in Brighton that stream football somewhere, although you could be cuddled up with weed fans though.

The Royal Standard near Brighton station used to show live streams but it shut down last year after they were caught selling 'fake and smuggled' alcohol.

Illegally streaming all the 3pm games on a busy high street probably didn't help their cause either

That's the only place I can recall streaming games. Most the pubs will be full of foreign students who couldn't give two shits about the football, or Man United 'fans' watching their game with Watford.

We're doing it the other way around. Drinking at Selhurst and then getting the train down for the match.

Used it for the 3-0.

Sort of works ok, but still a major ball ache.

I'd park up in Lewes, have a pint and jump on the train to Falmer personally if I was driving.
