5 games that are winnable coming up. Would be nice to win at least 3 of them. I'd take 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat. We should probably play 4-5-1 away from home to boost our chances of picking up points away from Selhurst. But we are definitely in amongst the rest now - no longer marooned. Still need the wins to push ourselves up the league because hard games will follow the next 5.

We are dropping points.. especiallly West Ham and Everton games.

Genuinely believe a simple swap with wilf out on the right RLC through middle will make a huge difference

That is a daft comment. We are still bottom and have a small set of first team quality players, who are currently all fit but may well get injured in the future, how can you say there is NO WAY we are going down. I don't know if we are or not but it is quite clearly very possible.

I agree, both would be more effective as a result.

Fosu Mensah posted ‘waste of time’ in Dutch on his Twitter account last night or this morning. Illustrates the lack of depth in squad with an injury or a loanee a return away back to his club.

Think at moment hard to say whether we are more likely to go down or not. Things have improved. But we are in serious trouble.

Only Bournemouth and Everton from the bottom 11 sides in the league have a better record than us over the last five games. By one point.

We’re picking up points on all our rivals at the moment.

It's a shame really. Should be comfortably top half.

West Ham's next three games are away to Man City, and then home to both Chelsea and Arsenal. And this is after getting just 3 points from their last 7 games.

A betting man would put us above them in the next week or two ....

We really need to start beating teams in and around the bottom half, signs are good though - I think we are starting to build a bit of confidence.

Benteke is key here - he needs a confidence building goal or two soon....

A win and an away draw. Also how much confidence will a clean sheet give the players when we've been letting in so many sloppy goals. If we need 2 or 3 goals to get points we are stuffed. We have a lot to do but we are no longer detatched

Yes, but I still think that it's unbelievable that after the worst start in football league history, we are in and amongst the other sides now and it's still November! We haven't even gone on any sustained winning run and here we are.

Still in trouble of course, but all we have to do is keep pootling along and we'll slowly but surely pull ourselves clear. Got the January transfer too to hopefully bolster things as we did last season. Roy's not a mug, and with Dougie I'm sure we'll be stronger come Feb.

We are still up against it, but it’s remarkable that we are not further adrift.

I hope that Huddersfield, the weed & Bournemouth get dragged into it, as I worry that wba, W Ham & stoke will have too much ability and be able to put a run together.

West Ham are in big trouble and their choice of manager isn't going to help. He's got a cloud over him.

Huddersfield are starting to falter and could easily go on a run of losing games. Brighton are punching well above their weight and will struggle as the season wears on. Can't see Newcastle spending in January and Benitez might well do a bunk at that point.

All of the promoted sides will struggle from this point on as they pick up injuries and don't have the required squad depth. Would be nice to get out the bottom 3 after the next 5 games. We should then have enough second half of the season to stay above 3 teams.

We need to score away goals if we are going to stay up. There is still a huge issue there. We created very little against a decidedly workmanlike Brighton and Newcastle. Benteke doesn't look about to get the rocket under him that will be required over the next 4 weeks. In both games we weren't just wasteful we were totally lacking in creativity. It's an improvement to get point but the same issues are still there for me.

I do think he needs to play wilf and andros as proper wingers. I would also like to see andros encouraged to shoot a bit more.
