Labour with eight point lead in poll

By the only polling company who called the general election:

Westminster voting intention:

LAB: 45% (+1)
CON: 37% (-1)
LDEM: 6% (-1)
UKIP: 4% (-)
GRN: 1% (-)

via @Survation, 30 Nov - 01 Dec

Yet what does Hattersley (who supports a British republic, but took a seat in the unelected House of Lords as a Baron), from the right winger say:

Quote:
The Labour party faces the greatest crisis in its history
You couldn't make it up. Just after then general election when labour increased its vote by the biggest ever margin in history you had Stephen Kinnock in dismay and shock. Now with the biggest lead in the polls yet you have Hattersley coming out with this rubbish. The labour right want labour to fail and in showing this are making themselves more and more irrelevant and out of touch with the membership.

Eight point lead. Nice.

I'd love May to be toppled by Corbyn.

After all, he's more pro-Brexit than May is.

He knows one vote won't count, he will get some on boar and then use "will of the people" to get what he wants, hard Brexit. Unfortunately, he will never be in the top job.

Incredible that with such a useless PM in May, and Labour having a marmite character in Corbyn as its leader that the LibDems appeal is almost non existent.

He certainly said he voted Remain. He also called for the immediate invoking of Article 50 (Farage was the only other one to do that).

Given that he's always been anti-EU, and that his ideological chums like Skinner still are, I find it hard to believe he was Remain. He was certainly disgracefully awful at campaigning, as the leadership elections proved he knows how to do it when he wants to.

His whipping of the Labour party to support the Tories on Brexit since has also been hard to square with someone who genuinely thinks Brexit will be a disaster for this country.

But he knows he leads a party which is overwhelmingly Remain. I think that, more than any ideological commitment to the EU, explains his cursory commitment/campaigning for Remain.

Others are free to disagree. I would love to be wrong.

These polls have been reliable and there is every reason to have faith in this one. But your point is correct.

I agree with Hattersley. We need an electable Labour Party that will help those at the lower end of the income scale. Having some left wing nutters screw up the future of our kids by thrusting their selfish financially illiterate dogma on the country is something normal labour voters surely don't want. Don't forget Corbo was only on the ballot for a bit of a larf and all this nonsense has snowballed from utter hatred of the Tory scum and the yoot vote.

That said there's no way of getting rid of him unless there's another election

It's obvious that the Tories have no power to do anything. Inequality will continue to grow and we'll find ourselves in an election pretty soon. Looking forward to the re-distribution.

Have the Tories started caring about this now? Their polices have done nothing but take from the young and prop up the rich and the old. I personally think they've lost all credibility and it's too late for them now.

Really hoping Labour will tax assets and incentivise people to contribute to society positively. It's still a big if.

it's not incredible, everybody knows the LibDems are the scummiest most pro-globalist party in the country, who have been successful at infiltrating Tory/Labour for the last 4 decades. Just look at how they lied about student fees.

Heseltine, Major, Blair, Mandelson, Cameron, Clarke & their ilk should all be in the LibDem party.

Don't forget the hag Soubry who is ex-SDP.

I'm happy they're on their arse.

It’s time for the party to clear out the remaining right wing elements and return to socialist democratic principals. Hattersley, baby kinnock and their ilk have had their chance. If it wasn’t for them we’d already have a Labour government. Crisis my arse.

Nope I think that's correct. He says remain but it's a tightrope for him as it is for May, though May's political choice is easier.

I think his declaration is disingenious but I trust his ethics enough to know it isn't about personal gain like it is for the tax haven traitors.

In light of the resignation of the entire board for social mobility this week citing "impossible" conditions for the poorest in society to pull themselves up it's truly astonishingly naive that you can knock a Social Democratic party as being unable to bring about change. It's baffling it really is.
