"Lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo,....Crystal Palace". is the worst of the lot. Like a bloody funeral march!

Quite noticeable how the back of Block B are starting more of their own chants now.

Is there revolution afoot?

Interesting that it was the HF singing Roy Hodgson's Red N Blue army after they had refused to sing Sam Allardyce's Red N Blue army when the back of B block had sung it a few times and even though it's the HF that sing the crappy South London's red and blue Army...why the change of heart?
Did the back of B block start this?

The CPFC chant is good when the crowd is already up if we are winning. The same goes for mrs Robinson, no point singing it when we have the hump.

I've never liked the sound of the "boom boom boom" of the drum, don't mind the chants was watching the game on the telly (couldn't go as I've done my knee in before somebody comments) and even my wife said she hated the sound of it. Put the drum back where it belongs in an oompah band.

we are palace from selhurst, by far the greatest team just another two that have been wiped off the set list.

have to agree, have found the atmosphere too scripted and false for a whilst. Biggest problem is no one else really bothers now as its just like leave it to them they are only going to sing want they want anyway.

Does feel like the atmosphere is losing its unity to me and instead of trying to get everyone involved the HF just seem to have their own agenda

The beauty of attending football games is if you don't like what someone is singing then you can start off your own song to sing instead.

It really is that simple.

Clear ya throat and sing what you want. Don't wait for others to tell you what to do.

Back of block b started it.

I couldnít tell if the HF were singing the managerís name or ĎSouth Londonísí as normal.

It was switching back and forth, but I think the HF were sticking with South London's.

Sounded like a mix of the two.

Anyway, about time. Roy deserves it.

Like many things, originality and authenticity disappears with popularity.

Sell by date in view I’d say.

I like the HF but I've gotta agree here in affraid.

The first thing that come to my mind was Walcott last season saying as soon as they stepped out onto the pitch they knew they were beat due to the intimadating atmosphere.

Unfortunately this season I felt the atmosphere in the first 10 minutes set the tone for the match. Wasn't upbeat and certainly not intimadating, just a drone, and arsenal were able to settle in quickly and dictate the play.

There have been a couple of games with no drum and the atmosphere has been shit or when we have scored, you get everyone singing WLY completely out of time with each other. The drum definitely helps keep everyone together it just feels like there are fewer and fewer fans can be bothered to join in.

Felt it for a while but large parts of the Palace support aren't particularly bothered and seem to either have become bored with the PL or are now simply taking it for granted. Relegation would be terrible for us as a club but one of the few benefits would be a chance to shake up the support a bit and get rid of some of the hanger-ons.

I can’t see how some of the long drawn out downbeat chanting is at all uplifting for the players. Just my opinion.

Yup - the HF started with 'South London's...', then after a while the back of Block B started alternating with 'Roy Hodgson's...' After half-time the HF started with Roy as well

At first both were going on but late in the game the HF were giving it Roy's song by just themselves...hope it carries on!
