Oliver was fine.

Would hate to be a ref, putting up with grown men like Zaha throwing a tantrum and nearly crying over a foul that never was in the first place....

Still find it funny that people think these professional refs set out to deliberately harm Crystal Palace.

One of the best refs in the country was ok last night.

Wilf needs to keep a lid on the chat to the referee before he gets sent off for dissent.

Doesn't exactly help you get the benefit of the doubt with all the back chat.

There is no doubt there is a big clubs bias but I don't think it is deliberate
With the media scrutiny any error against the richest: clubs gets the refs enormous criticism in the media whereas against smaller clubs like palace the referring mistakes are barely mentioned

I can’t re,ever whether it was Dann or Kelly but there was a stonewall penalty in the second where Sanchez was pulled down in the second half that he missed

However I didn’t like the way that he overuled the lineman on an offside in the second half

It should go further than that. Every game the ref should have to review the game and give an account of what he saw that made him give the decisions, not every foul where the offence is clear but as many as possible, particularly the contentious ones, including thise where he did not give a foul. This would then be avaible for free access. Only when this happens can we, the paying public (and TV subscribers), get an understanding of what the refs are seeing and their thought process. As professionals I hope they do this any way to review their own performance. It may be that on a scond look they can learn that they got the decision wrong and admit it. For example with handballs it could be that due to other players/the angle of sight they did not see the contact rather than it being ball to hand etc.

In last nights game I thought the ref was badly let down by the lino in the second half. The block on Sako was a clear foul and I thought the lino went to flag but looked at the ref, saw he wasnt giving anything so he didnt either rather than being brave and saying to the ref this is what I saw even if you didnt. Twice he went to give us throws but let the ref over rule him.

With Wilf I think the problem is he sometimes lets the ball get awy from him a bit much so when the challenge comes in it looks like both players ae in the challenge rather than keeping it closer so it is clear he has possesion and the opposition player is have to foul him to get at the ball. And yes he has to learn to take the fouls and decisions with little argument. I've yet to see a ref change his mind because a player is having a go at him.

For those with short memories, our first home game against Huddersfield Wilf was kicked all over the park and that nice Mr John Moss gave him fk all and when he complained threatened to book him.
Because of all the fouling we lost Wilf for 6 or 7 games.
I think Michael Oliver handled it badly by not walking off the pitch with Wilf and talking as they went. And of course it was on tv for all to see.

It's easy to tell Wilf to keep calm from the comfort of the stands or your sofa, but none of us can appreciate how frustrating it must be to be kicked from pillar to post every match with no protection. Even last night we saw Wilshere, Ozil and Sanchez win free-kicks that Wilf would never get in a million years.

He seems to be persona non grata for officials, pundits and opposing fans, and I really don't get it.

That was my take on his performance too, certainly infinitely better than the likes of Maddley and Moss. Thought he dealt with Wilf’s dissent/arguing well, a different ref would have booked him after the Chambers incident and booked him again at half time.

It didn’t help Wilf’s cause that he chose to moan on and on about a foul the ref gave against him, when he had indeed clipped the Arsenal guy’s foot.

You’ve got to pick the correct battles, if you’re going to have a hissy fit at least wait till there’s an incident when you’ve been wronged and the crowd is howling with you. On this occasion a lot of the Main Stand fans around me wanted Wilf to leave it, or just make his point once and then play on. But he went too far and received a yellow that meant he had to be v careful throughout the second half.

I did notice that the ref was good at keeping up with play and anticipating where to be for a view of potential incidents. Although there was a bizarre decision when an Arsenal player stuck out his arm to elbow the ball, but neither he nor the assistant gave it

Wilf needs to have a plan B when things aren't going his way. He did that after halftime and presumably as a result of a chat by Roy or one of the coaches.

Yes exactly if you do too much it dilutes your reasoning about being wronged.

Channel the energy into hurting the opposition like he did against Watford.

it most certainly is deliberate, the second highlighted bit proves that it is deliberate......week after week Wilf is assaulted and gets nothing...ok he moans, whats he supposed to do, if he gets up and laughs it off the idiot referees will think hes happy and never give a foul for him
