Also note that Zone 1-6 Travelcards don't cover your journey between St Pancras and Stratford International.
We (maybe stupidly) assumed they did, but were blocked from going through the barriers and boarding the train until we purchased additional tickets.

Yep, you'll need a Travelcard 'including High Speed Line'.

West Ham (A) Tuesday 30th January 19:45
Quote:
Funny that because I remember when they got the stadium their owners bragged about cheap tickets for all. The Premier League should introduce a maximum child rate for away fans of say £15 to prevent clubs ramping up the price of child’s tickets to make up for the fact that they can’t rip adults off.

It took me about 30 minutes to get to Stratford last season, quicker then I was expecting.
The longest one was after the Tuesday evening session of World Athletics Championship last summer when it look about an hour. |

They funnel you a certain way which takes a good 10-15 minutes to get there from the ground, and implement crowd control measures.

Is Pudding Mill Lane a better option ?

Went that way last season. No trouble at all apart from forgetting how far Canary Wharf DLR is from Canary Wharf tube.

As just looking at block 119 and it's only on row 2

Most away s/t's chose seats at the front of the upper tier. Would recommend telephoning if you have a specific row in mind in the Lower Tier

What's the best (least worst) part of the away end? Assume upper tier is ridiculously far from the pitch? Was in the press box last year.

I was about half way up the upper last time and you do feel noticeably further back than at most grounds. It's still not that bad though. You probably want the back of the lower section I suppose.

Back of the lower section (think there are 25 rows there) is a fairly 'normal' height/distance from the pitch to watch the match reasonably normally. Very front of Upper Tier (starts at row 31 in most blocks) has a bit more height, but is set back a heck of a distance
The whole place is a pigs ear to be honest

Thanks guys. I hated the Etihad away end... I'm going to hate this even more aren't I?

I've gone in the lower tier about 2/3rds of the way up.
Just a warning about the upper tier that when I went last year for Athletics it was very steep to get up so you may want to bear that in mind. |

It's significantly worse in almost every way to the Etihad but at least we're not guaranteed to concede about 5 goals

Wow ok yeah not going to this one then. I'll save my £30

Surely it is more about being there to support your team in what is a vital game for the club than worrying about comfy seats and what the view is like?
