Getting rid is based on his not having had a good game in the league for a couple of years and his mistakes costing us points. The fact he is not exactly a role model as captain is not actually relevant. Another fav of our chairman SP so inadequacies are ignored.

On and off the pitch (the latter allegedlyof course). His tackle on De Bruyne was dreadful and he should be punished by the club imo. I was embarrassed by those idiots who were singing “he is one of our own” after he left De Bruyne in a heap. Get rid of him now.

The problem was that he buggered that up as well as De Bruyne had already played the ball forward and Man City were away. The ref played on - it was Kelly who took one for the team by pulling the bloke back just before he got into the penalty area.

You are a complete tosser based on these remarks. Condoning seriously injuring players as taking one for the team. Presumably your role models are Chopper Harris and Norman Hunter. De Bruyne is a class player and doesn’t scissor kick players. As for Kyle Walker, in his defence he kept Wilf quiet without kicking the s*** out of him as most teams do. Well, except he didn't stop it.

Been thinking this, Kelly is the one who ensured they didn't score directly from the break, Puncheons foul was too late to stop De Bruyne passing the ball
Obviously IanH beat me to this...

We’re in the stickiest situation since Sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky bun Horrible day. Don't even know why I went, after the home game 'experience.' Will not visit SE25 again. With others as a 'guest' in their antiquated main stand. Constant abuse, intimidating each time we scored. Never been so pleased to lose. |

1 it wasn’t as bad as it has been made out in the press. 2 he has been out of the team for a long time and had only been on the field for a short while. I think he was trying too hard to make a contribution. |

He then could have met De Bruyne from a more favourable angle...and next time he must face the opposition and watch what happens. It’s one thing for a fan not to watch a pen, but unprofessional for a player to do that, not least because he must be alert for a potential rebound. |

Spot on. There's a lot of faux outrage over what was just a badly timed tackle from a player who doesn't have a history of doing that. The over reaction is pathetic.

The only player I can see leaving if we got an offer for him is Mutch... unless we get an offer too good to turn down especially for a player out of contract in the summer.

It’s just chance that De Bruyne’s injury sounds like it’s not as bad as it could have been. We would all go nuts if Wilf received a challenge like that. I’m pleased De Bruyne will be OK, he’s a talented guy and, being selfish about it, we might need him to score against other clubs this season, which could help our cause. |

Actually, other than Mutch, no one really, unless we have a cast iron guarantee a replacement is coming. Even Lee has a role (not a great one or one he does particularly well).
On the JP tackle, simply cant believe we had so many players standing on and around the box. They nearly caught us on a corner and am I recalling correctly after that we changed the number going directly into the box for corners?
