Send him on loan to a local club, Millwall, Charlton, Fullham etc. Someone who's likely to play him and where we can keep a close eye on his progress and have him in for training sessions.

Kind of agree with the loan. Loaning him to a championship side wont tell us whether he will be ready to play in the Premiership again. Loaning him to another Prem side if he plays will however.

Which case we should buy Lascelles and give them Pape

With Schlupp due to have surgery on his injury which will keep him out for the rest of the season, I don't think either Pape Souaré or Paddy van Aanholt can be offloaded unless we buy another left back.

The Sun says this is close and could turn permanent in the summer.

Riedewald could play left back.

He’s too slow. Be very surprised if this happens now schlupp is out.
Prior to schlupps injury I would of put my mortgage on him going on loan somewhere |

Let me get this right....we have two fit left backs and people think we should loan one of them out?

Yes but the question is can he do the job at the moment? Newcastle are not assured they will be getting the player he was before the accident. Ward can play there if required and is back in training if PVA were injured.

I definitely thought one of them would be on their way out but expected that yo be PVA so we could raise some decent cash and reduce wage bill, but as you say, can't see it now.

We might need to shift a few off the wage bill if a few are coming in .

Pva was never going. Souare was more than likely. From my limited info he was likely to go on loan to France. I would be surprised if we let him go now

Happy for him to do what he needs to do to get his career back on track, surprised its an EPL team in for him (not questioning his ability, just how far off he is a full return)
How long is Schlupp even injured for? If he is only out a couple of weeks then is it really as crazy as people are making out?

I thought PVA probably had one of his best games for us at the weekend. Looked like a proper left back. Not something he has always achieved before.

The only good reason to loan Pape out would be to get him games and continue his rehabilitation. Going to another prem team sound like a bad idea as I'd be surprised if he would be anything more than a backup. If that's the case, he may as well stay here.

If we can move him on then do it and bring in a young replacement to serve as backup (one like that one Brizzle have would be nice).
Realistically he has shown he can't cut it at this level, certainly not from what we have seen. Without the blinkers on there have always been questions about him even before the crash - he has worked hard to get back but reality is he isn't good enough and certainly so far is looking a long way off being the player he was before, which as I said wasn't that great if we are being honest.

PVA > Souare > Schlupp PVA is so hit and miss however. Souare has been injured and not sharp and may never be there Hence Schlupp has been playing
