As you say, the corner that led to the goal was never a corner.

No surprise that Delli Diver wasn't booked for diving.
I saw Friend chatting to all his Spurs mates beforehand too.

And I agree with the rest of your post.

I haven’t seen the replays but I think he gave at least three corners which should have been goal kicks or clearances.

Wan-Bissaka was the biggest positive from today. Even when everything else seems shit, watching academy players come in is exciting.

I like Sorloth's work-rate and strength. And Aurier's foul throws.

Weíre in big trouble, make no mistake
Bit harsh to call that a dire performance. We held one of the best teams in Europe for 88 minutes with 12 First Team players out injured. Of course we couldnít match them but we nearly got a point.

Roy on the decision leading to the Spurs corner: "I was a bit disappointed. The corner kick takes you by surprise really, when you see Aaron Wan-Bissaka about to clear it and all of a sudden a corner kick is given."

The object of the game is to score. We had next to nothing in the final third.
Spurs had an off day & were still far better than us. Iím not blaming those players that were selected. Most are simply not good enough at this level.

As Iíve said previously, these injuries are killing us.

Agree.

Even with a ref and 2 linos aiding their cause Spurs had to wait until the 88th minute to take the lead. And only after Tomkins had gone off. Can't blame Damo too much - I don't suppose he expected to figure very often this season.

It was hard working yes but we were lucky Tottenham were miss firing today .
Any neutral watching today would find it hard to believe we were a Premier league team . Rochdale last week against an under strength Spurs gave them way more problems . We will not get many points playing like this and without some pace / creativity . Players today worked their socks off but there was very little quality .

Hennessey - 6 - would have been higher but for the mistake at the end for the goal. He never saves us.

Bissaka - 6 - good considering how tough the task was. Shaky to begin with but got better.
Tomkins - 7 - good as ever but made of glass
TFM - 4 - a truly awful central defender but much bette at right back. The challenge on Kane for the penalty that wasn't was shockingly bad.
PvA - 5 - good going forward but woeful defensively.
Nearly gifted them two goals. I'd play him left midfield for now.

Luka - 6 - solid as ever but gave it away sometimes
Riedewald - 5 - poor in possession but worked hard
McArthur - 6 - did a lot of good defensive work but restricted going forward

Townsend - 5 - can you please stand up and deliver Andros? His lack of end product is painful. One good cross aside he looks like a one trick pony. How many times does he cut back into his left and lose the ball?
Sorloth - 5 - not his position and he gave it away regularly. Start him in place of Benteke.
Benteke - 5 - another shit performance from someone who hasn't contributed all season. Can't bear to watch him.

Subs
Delaney - 2 - in there for one reason but got beaten by Kane in the air. Shouldn't have happened.
Lee - 3 - one touch I think.

What is the point of the Rakip and Jach signings? We needed help now but we messed up January badly. Credit to the players for working so hard but there was zero quality out there and the board has badly let Hodgson down.
Agree with the Rakip and Jach comments. What's the point in signing one for the future in January and another on a six month loan and not playing him. Doesn't make that much sense to me.

Not sure I'd quite go as far as dreadful but I still haven't seen much to impress. Don't think he is quick enough or strong enough for this league.

In all honesty this was a game we were never going to get anything from especially with the team we had out there today, but the lack of quality clearly showed.
But what made it so hard to accept was, having withstood what could and should have been a heavy defeat to then have lost it in the last couple of minutes was heartbreaking as every point gained now is crucial.
The next FOUR games are going to be very telling as to where we finish, as all teams around us keep picking up points apart from what looks a doomed WBA, however we need to get ONE Win from those games, as we then approach what appears to be an easy? run in, to gain much needed points.
But this is going to be a season where it really will go down to the last game, and hopefully we survive.
