It's a scary thought having to face the next FOUR games if we have to depend on the lineup we had against Spurs, hence why we need to take a more defensive approach. The Man Utd game is the worry as to who is fit to play, we desperately need experience back to give the defence solidity hence why having Ward and Sakho back will be crucial.
In Midfield we have got to go with FIVE to combat their surging runs so as we are not left exposed with hopefully Cabaye back, our current position says we must aim for a morale boosting draw which would be a great result and give us a boost when facing the other "crunch games" coming up.
Upfront we need to gamble and give Sorloth the freedom to operate alone which may suit him better, afterall what have we to lose with CB in his current form? This would be my starting choice.

He might have scored more than 2 goals this season. Or harassed a defender into a mistake.

Kelly always gives 100% Yes he's limited. Yes he would never be 1st choice with a full squad but he's a trusted utility man every club needs them during the season.

These threads are pointless at the moment. No one knows who will be fit or who will be next to be injured.

Other than Kelly are any of our other injured players likely to be fit?

We need wilf, cabaye & sakho back desperately.

He might. I would play both, and Townsend and when fit Zaha and give us attacking options.

The suggestions seem to be to drop Benteke to bring in another defensive midfielder.

We showed even on Sunday that we can defend pretty well, except for Delaney, but we shouldn't compromise on what attacking options we do have IMO.

Have we got anyone fast to go upfront?

I am thinking of when we used Townsend/Zaha upfront but obviously minus Zaha. United are ready and capable for long balls to Benteke/Sorloth, maybe get PVA upfront just to try and stretch them a bit and surprised them.

Sadly Saturday showed just how thin on the ground we are at CH and keeper thanks to SP giving one year contracts to great club pros but not to be in the 25. Our new Polish CH should have helped but he is clearly no where near up to it at the moment.

No one is a CB hater, silly term, he has just done too little to justify getting selection and many want to see Sorloth given a chance up top

Other than Benteke who went past Dier with the ball on Sunday, or Sorloth who went past several of their players when he stormed down the wing but couldn't get past Sanchez who is very quick?

But you highlight Townsend who didn't seem to run past anyone at any point on Sunday?

Townsend hasn't gone past anyone all season. One trick pony who has disappointed as much as anyone this season.
