We have no choice. I said he would come good and save us but I now doubt that. But Sorloth is nowhere near as good as poor old Ben. Do us in the Championship, but he looks well out of his depth top me (too early to say I know).
The bitter truth is we have one class attacker in Wilf, and one class defender in Sakho. Get them back and we have a chance.

I think Benteke has to hit his lowest, being dropped before he can start finding his form.

No he won't drop him. There is no alternative. I don't expect him to score again this season.

Nor do I expect Wickham to play again this season.

Come on guys, now prove me wrong. Both of you. Please.

Where is this suggestion that we play him deeper coming from? What is he going to contribute in a more defensive position, given that he seems reluctant to do much more than amble around up top?

If he has to play then we've got to stick with him as the duck egg up front and hope he can get his scoring head back on.

If he does start, it has to be with Sorloth behind him in an almost free role, anticipating his flick-ons.

Great idea to drop him when we’ve already got 12 players unavailable for the game.
Sorloth is well out of his depth and has probably been bought with the Championship in mind along with Jach and don’t get me started on the pointless loan of Rakip.
We’ll lose whoever plays up front, let’s be honest. We always lose to the Wankers and this is guaranteed with the current injury crisis.

Nonsense. How can you write off Sorloth before he's had a chance in his best position? Benteke has had numerous chances and messed up all season. He's been a disaster - one of the reasons we are in this mess. Why not mix it up and give someone else a go now we actually have someone who can play up front in his place?

But I agree with you about Rakip and our January businsss which was a shambles.

Im not writing off Sorloth but from what weve seen he will be okay in the Championship next season. Big Ben needs better service and a more mobile strike partner to play off him, the last 2 windows in particular have done for us.

You've seen him play twice out wide and have already concluded he's only good enough for the championship? Way too early for that assessment. He also hadn't played for six weeks as the danish league broke up for winter. He's not fully match fit and will need time to fully catch up to the speed of this league.

I'd like to see him given a chance in his best position and then we'll know. Benteke has had lots of decent service - he's just not very good.

Sorloth would have scored way more than two goals given the exact chances Benteke has had over the last 20 games plus he will put in effort not hide.

It's a no-brainier. Those who still think Benteke should start and/or not be dropped - do you have money on Palace to get relegated or something? If you have then for sure that huge waste of space will help you cash in.

Why not drop him in a game we are expecting to lose, a game that will depend on chasing down lost causes. Seems ideal to me, may even offer something from the bench if the game is still close near the end.

Watch his goalscoring from last 12 months on YouTube. He knows where the goal is and can finish. I absolutely do know it. All those exact chances that Benteke had had? He'd be on seven or eight by now.

I would drop him, and play to feet. We can’t have another home game of barely getting into the opponents’ half. Maybe coming ff the bench will do it for him - we have to try something different because you can see that the midfield and flank players have lost faith in Nenteke. And it is not surprising.

You might need to look up the definition of 'knowing' things
