Wenger. Anyone who can turn Keown and Parlour into footballers must be a good coach.

My money's on Bobby Robson - he's about the only English manager in the Premiership who would be up to it, cos Hoddle won't come back and Bryan Robson is clearly rubbish.
I suppose John Gregory might be an outside bet. |

My money would be on Wenger personally.

Wenger would be good, but my preferred choice would be Ferguson. He said that he didn't want the job a few years back, but now with his tenure at Man Utd coming to an end he may reconsider.

It pains me to say it, but there is no Englishman good enough for the job. Ferguson (shudder) gets my vote. At least this way the Man U players may play better, whilst f**king up the scum in the process.
Who would replace Ferguson? Keegan? I can but dream. |

Peter Taylor if we're going English, although it may be too soon.
Otherwise Lippi or Ferguson I also feel Alan Shearer should be involved, not as a senior member but just going along to training and matches to help out and learn (i.e training a manager for the future). [This message has been edited by John 24 (edited 08 October 2000).] |

Venables, Venables, Venables.
He ****ed my country, he ****ed my club so he can do the same to England at which point everyone will see him as the useless <libellous bit snipped> ****er he is. |

What about Martin O'Neill? I think he'd be a great coach.

Foreign manager - my ar*e.
Why don't we just do what they do in the Rugby worldcup and have players swapping nationalities every couple of years - most of the Japanese rugby team were 6ft+, white with surnames like McIntosh. Then we could get some Brazilians and French into the football team with Wenger or Ferguson as manager - then would it be England ? I'd rather support an English team + manager that doesn't succeed - if you want to support a successful international side watch France or Brazil matches with your replica shirts. |

Why not Wilkinson permanently.
The FA have usually cocked it up so why should they change now? Hey, hang on. I hear Bruce Dyer is available. Personally I have lost all interest in who is going to be appointed and in the predictable current English team. I'm bored. |
