derek mcinnes
quality creative midfielder, who is proven at this level. he was going to join dundee utd, but the move collapsed today.

not sure what the deal is with contract, or fees, but would definately give us a bit of creativity in midfield.

which of our current crop of midfielders is more creative and better at set pieces than mcinnes ?

i dont have the figures, but if i remember correctly he got a record number of assists in WBA's promotion season ( whether that is a WBA record or a div 1 i dont know)

Too old and is past it. Not good enough for Division 1 im afraid which is why West Brom dont want him anymore. A year or two ago maybe.

They said announcement of the move to Dundee was delayed due to "technical reasons" at the West Brom end. So he could well still go when the "technical reasons" are sorted out.

Don't think he has anything to offer us any way, would rather develop Ben Watson.

Since the season before last, and hopefully again next. He was injured for a lot of last season, hence his poor displays. If he can recapture his form he will be an asset again.
