In the programme (Chairman's Viewpoint) SJ said "I am sure Alan will be bringing in some new players and we have, this week, tabled a £1.5m bid for a player".

Who do you think it is?

I also saw that and wondered. It could be Siyabonga Nomvete, a striker who plays for Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa. I saw that Sunderland (of all people) had him on loan but the deal fell through. We are apparently interested.

Sun looks like he is on his way to Newcastle. Shame............5-0 might change his mind with any luck!

there's no way nomvete will cost that much, not from a south african club.

neither I suspect would Sun.

I think its another player, it's a good thing we don't know who it is or some ******* club will nip in and steal them.

From what little (unfortunately), I saw of Sun he is easily worth one and a half million. He was better than Fan and about 7-8 years younger!
