Muscat to a T

The Times got Muscat to a T in its write up today. I hope SK appeals the sending off and sticks this under the FA's nose

Palace robbed at the death
By Gary Jacob

Millwall 1 Crystal Palace 1

MILLWALL CAN OFTEN BE COUNTED upon to serve up a spicy encounter, even without the provocative proddings of Kevin Muscat. Largely devoid of talent or finesse, Muscat is one of those annoying players who appears to relish baiting his opponents with continual niggly fouls. A timely shirt pull, an obstruction, an apparently accidental trip. And if that fails to antagonise his more skilful adversary, he delivers something more sinister.

So it was not surprising that the Australian, playing on his debut after signing from Rangers, was involved in the game’s controversial incident — Tommy Black’s dismissal on the hour mark. As Aki Riihilahti poked a through ball for the Palace winger to chase, Muscat casually stepped into his path. Black appeared, at best, to then clip the leg of Muscat, whose histrionics and the ensuing kerfuffle fooled Howard Webb, the referee, into dishing out a yellow card, Black’s second. “It just seems to be going against us at the moment,” Steve Kember, the Crystal Palace manager, said. “He did that (obstruction) just before and got away with it. That’s Muscat for you.”

Great bit of journalism. At least someone has commented on what he's like. Filthy player.

Nice article - but they missed the studs in the back of Ben Watson's leg (first half) and the elbow in Andy Johnson's face (second half) that should have resulted in him not being on the pitch by the time the Black incident took place

Let's hope they watch the TV replay...one of the camera views clearly shows Muscat looking behind him for Black, and then purposefully cutting across him.
