Not really, unless you want AJ to be sold?!

Please allow decent Palace fans like c_block_lad his moment of happiness. He's living on the front line, and doing a marvellous job.

Keep the striped flag flying high.

Lead story for Division One on BBC Sport online is Dowie publically stating his desire to keep AJ at the club and that they will enter an increased contract with him - seems fairly promising to me.

All well and good, but I hope we're going to start negotiating new deals with some of the (soon to be) out of contract players - namely Gray, Riihilahti, Hughes, Watson and Popovic.

Didn't Jordan say before he appointed Dowie that any new manager would have to get the best out of the current players before being given real cash to splash? Well Dowie has definitely met that criteron it but I guess it will probably be the summer before anything significant happens in the transfer market UNLESS one or two players would make the difference in any March/April playoff position push.

Never know, might find his clone, Emile Heskey, heading in the same direction.

Doesn't Jordan still want to trim the squad of expensively paid players?

Dowie said he was still looking for one for the match against Derby so he certainly knows who the weakest link is

The only player we NEED is a goalkeeper.Dowie must know the second division keepers. Also Myrhe is clarly not happy at Sunderland. Powell is surplus to requirements although the fee is too low. As for the rest might be best to keep our powder dry until the summer.

myrhe is desperate to get away from sunderland, surley it is worth ID & SJ putting the powell money to good use. Our defenders, Granville & Hudson, need a strong keeper behind them.
