Not bothered, i know i'm probably in the minority but I have never been a big fan of his, defensively he is let down by being a short ass and going forward he often runs into blind alleys.

problem is that we now if this is true are short of another defender, and as it has taken us an eternity to find any CBs who can tell how long it'll take to find a new RB as well.

According to the Palace site he's just agreed personal terms to renw his contract with us and will put pen to paper on his return from holiday.

To be fair, the guy has never paid in the Premiership and in Mullins / Austin / Howell / (Edworthy??) there is back up. It's a blow but hardly a surprise if true.

I along with so many others on various threads have spoken about the urgent need for 3 or 4 defenders next year and as a result of this it would make Jamie extra to requirements. He is far too dodgy at the back and makes far too many mistakes allowing opposing attackers the freedom of his side of the pitch.

Personally if he goes off to Bolton or wherever I could not care less, as long as we have signed someone to cover his position!!!!

WOO-HOO !

To be honest - I am not overly worried if Jamie goes to Bolton - he is NOT a half decent right back - although we will miss him in midfield (where he doesn't like playing incidentally).

We need new left and right back's anyway - Howell is ripe for a chance (from the bench at the mo though) and hopefully this could pave the way to bring in some decent players in those positions !

I get the horrific feeling that the house he bought there was not for his girlfriend at all.
