To be fair he thought that was going in and did what any keeper would went to tip it or stop it. It was bad luck, that the touch he was able to get on it caused a nasty spin which sent it into the net.

Please allow decent Palace fans like c_block_lad his moment of happiness. He's living on the front line, and doing a marvellous job.

He's had 5 games, not proven himself yet afraid. How long will Dowie give him though?

That was very bad luck, he did what he could.
He made a number of excellent saves and tips today which other keepers probably wouldn't have.

Who would you rather play though??? A proven quality keeper who is dominant and very reliable and been 2nd best keeper in Germany or a one-season wonder in Scotland who doesn't inspire confidence and makes costly mistakes?

Seeing Kiraly in warm-ups, he practices palming them away, instead of catching them, an that ain't right

Although speroni makes some good saves, his mistakes are cosing us big. thats 2 big mistakes and 2 games that have been lost as a result. we were in charge v everton till the pen and we were right in it until he deflected the shot into the net.

After the match against Everton I was one of the "drop Speroni" lobby but since then I have grown to like him. He has made some good saves today and I think his confidence will improve over time. Berger's shot was speculative to say the least and to my mind would have hit the post if left alone. Speroni did well to even get a hand to it in my view. Finally what chance did he have with Poppy shooting at him??

just like james, you get to a point where the costly errors outweigh the quality saves..... could the defence even be suffering from a lack of confidence on the keeper behind them???

You could be right. Confidence rubs off on people, speroni being nervous could be giving our defence the colly-wobbles

at the end of the day we have a quality keeper sitting on the bench, surley he's worthy of a chance.

I support all our players, no matter what, but now is clearly the time to give Kiraly a chance to show us what he can do.

Jules has made some spectacular saves yes, but he has gifted the opposition 2 goals now, because of 2 monumental mistakes. You can say that he was unlucky with the shot today, but the truth is, a goalkeeper should never, ever be beaten at his near post from a range like that. He should have palmed the ball round the post but made a complete screw up with his attampted save, and that was one of the factors today that cost us.

Now these errors do not make him a bad goalkeeper, in fact he will become a better one as he will learn from them, but in our current position, we cannot afford any more howlers from our keeper, and 2 in 5 games is just unnaceptable.

Gabor should be given his chance.

I was at the Accrington vs Woking game last week and the Woking goalie was the spitting image of Speroni, so much so that a Lancashire kid in a Stanley shirt sitting behind me said "Their goalie looks like that shite Crystal Palace goalie Speroni".

He must be making a good impression up this part of the country then!

Speroni seems to do a lot of one handed saves, when he should really be using both hands.
Also, he is not in control of the goal area or the defenders in front of him. So many times the ball came over and I was expecting to see him claim the ball in the air and he didn't even come for the ball.
Pops goal would have been avoided if Speroni had call for him to leave it or even to claim it.
I don't doubt Speroni's ability, but, he doesn't come across as one a commanding goalkeeper, in charge of the defence.
Mind you to be fair, Hislop was really no better and he got MOM on the channel I was watching!
