Tom Huddlestone
Derby youngster, apparently Dowie is interested in a permanent deal.
You heard it here first. Last edited by HHHH : 23-12-2004 at 04:49 PM. |

He is Young Tall and has some talent.
Not sure he is ready for the premiership yet but has played all over the park for Derby! |

Would be an astute signing imo, bags of potential.

i mentioned him as someone id buy in the '5 mil to spend' thread , decent player and will only get better - id see him as a holding midfielder eventually as he has a excellent range of passing and ability to read the game.
has been playing centre back all season though. Last edited by cpfc_spc1982 : 23-12-2004 at 03:39 PM. |

Really? I'm sceptical, but he'd be a great signing if it happened. Get Billy Jones in from Crewe to boot, if we're making signings for the future.

Hang on - is this coming from the same guy who said Jon Dahl Tomasson had agreed a deal to come to us in January? I'll believe it when I see it.
(Though I agree Huddlestone would be a terrific signing). |

'Huddlestone' is a top prospect and has been deployed in midfield and in defence.
In actual fact, some while ago I was privileged to engage in conversation with 'George Burley' who stated that in his opinion the laddie could play anywhere on the field of play.

Only 18 I think, can play central defence or central midfield.
Very highly rated. |

Because he is so highly rated, i think he would cost too much for us. Considering he would be 'one for the future' and, if we were to sign him, not a player i could see playing a major role this season. Would love to see him at Palace though - a hot prospect.

Independent makes Huddlestone the player to watch this year apparently.

Can't see this lad being the "impact" player, that ID said he'd be looking to bring in.Anyway Tom Soares introduction to the first team, would suggest that, we might already have this type of player already in our team, ie, tall, strong, pacy etc.
