Dowie must clear out existing squad members if he is to make more January signings
This is the reality folks. SJ has told ID he has to clear the decks of existing surplus squad members to make space on the payroll for any new acquisitions. The following must go out on transfer to Championship sides where they could do an excellent job:

Derry
Shipps
Freedman
Powell or Popps
Borrowdale


Only Kav has been moved out so far and this is an urgent problem for ID

Surely this should say "any" January signings.

Hardly a surprise - we have tons of players that haven't been and are unlikely to contribute much this season.

However, isn't the middle of January a little bit short notice for Dowie to get some players moved on?

You can't just MAKE other teams buy our rejects. They have to be prepared to leave us too. Tommy B should be on your list, but its gonna be near impossible to move him on now he's injured.

Gillingham said to be watching Shipps. Forest looking at Derry. WHam looked at Powell but no follow up. Any other interest noted in these players ?

Exactly and I dont think Dougie would sign anywhere else on a permanant deal.

Kaviedes leaving has freed up 60k a month.

Agree. I am sure Iain has been aware fo this for some time. If he hasn't, we are going to have a very busy next two weeks.

Palace have been trying to move players on for months. Clubs only want them on short loans. Most of our the players we want to shift earn too much for the coca cola teams who want them. If the rumours of Dougies 20k a week are true cant see him going anywhere.

Asterisk is playing for a contract
It's very easy to say now, but we probably should of sold/realeased 3/4 players at the beginning of the season. At the time though, following their heroics, I would of been upset to see any of them moved on. At the beginning of the season we had 6 strikers in Aj, Torg, Doug, Shipps, Andrews and Kav, and if your gonna be brutal only one is worth keeping.
