I know there were rumours that they might be delayed, but I wondered if anyone had received the new kits yet?! I hope they're not delayed. I'm sure I've seen on someone's avatar a picture of them wearing the new home shirt.

Not got mine yet.

The missus got me the new away kit and received an e-mail stating that we should receive it by 15th July (latest).

How much truth is in that statement from CPFC can only be established on 15th July.

Reserving judgement 'til then.

I hope so, I go on holiday on the 16th and was hoping to be wearing mine on the Cornwall beaches.

My home and away shirts arrived today, along with the keeper shorts, and socks.

No sign of the shirt, but there was a note saying that it was just a part order and the rest would follow.

I just find it very strange that the shorts and socks have arrived but no shirt. There was plenty more room left in the bag to fit it in. Hopefully it won't take too long.

By the way I don't know what C_Block_Lad was going on about but the shirts are nothing like the Le Coq material we had in 2002/03. They're like any old football shirts really.

Latvian Eagle
11-07-2005, 07:28 PM
Oh yes and if the keeper shirt is the same material as the keeper shorts then it is the same as the players shirt, so probably pretty lightweight for diving around in the summer months!

I used to be like that, but I don't know why I've ever worried. I turned up at the Ground on the day of the Spurs friendly 02/03, and Sporting 04/05 when the new kits were released and they always have plenty in stock.

I never said they was...

Mearly they are the same material from the season shirts just gone, of which they are...

You said they were the same as the last Le Coq kit, and even so, your comment is also incorrect, they're not the same material as last seasons shirts.

The one thing that I would complain though is that they are very loose fitting around the neck.

12-07-2005, 07:50 AM
Jim, how big are the shirts? Are they stupidly large fitting still? Like last season - where my 'large' shirt was almost like a dress.

Having unpacked mine (not tried on yet) they do seem to be on the large side.

'Loose' on the shirt I had last season probably meant I could of rolled a sleeping bag out in it. I think I got a large size - and the medium size wouldn't fit over my head, so I was kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. I assume that Diadora have set sizes, and that they are the same this year then.:(

This one seems to be similar sizing to that of last season.

I've only got a medium, the hole for your head's quite small though, otherwise, the shirt is quite baggy on me, and I'm 5 foot 8 inches tall!

Fits well and the material is much nicer than last years.

And they even put the centenary badge on for me - I was expecting to have to do that myself.

Have to say one thing i dont liek this year is that the badge isnt stiched on the shirt. Its just like a transfer (like the badges on sites of shirts) and it can in some ways look tacky not stiched :'(

I believe the away kit to be grey.
The flags are quite good looking.
They're of 2 differing designs. Only thing is they're quite thin and only one sided - meaning they can only be viewed from one side, unlike the nice blue 'England' ones I got that can be viewed from either side, as they have a design on both sides of the (thicker) material.

Well I'm going to be genuinely positive.
The red and the blue are much better than last year.
Shades of the mid 70's kit, when 3rd division Swindlehurst knocked that one in at Elland Road! ;)

2. Home
3. Away.

The home one still looks like a Chelsea shirt from the back.

Latvian Eagle
17-07-2005, 03:55 PM
The reason being is that the sleeves are the same colour as the back of the shirt. Whenever we've had a plain blue back in the past, the sleeves have always contrasted.

01/02 - Blue back, red sleeves.
03/04 - Navy back, red, and blue sleeves.

It might have been an idea to have a red back this time around!?

RDSdaEAGLE
17-07-2005, 07:26 PM
I'll be getting a name and number on the back of my home shirt, it'll stop it looking so Chelsea.

But in terms of fitting, cut etc. its probably the best shirt we've had since the Adidas 96-98 shirt.

Spot on! That skirt thing on the bottom of last season's shirt was really starting to piss me off by about November. When buying the new shirt, it was the first thing I looked for. If there was a skirt attached, there was no way I was parting with forty quid. As it turns out, I really like the home kit. Brighter colours, no skirt and more stretchy material. Will probably even buy the away kit now.

Are the badges printed or stitched?

Stevieboy2
05-08-2005, 08:43 AM
Not stitched, but not printed either. The crest is on a raised piece of material that resembles the letters that 'churchill insurance' is made out of.
If you mean the coca-cola badges, I believe these are printed transfers.
