I was in the bookies at the weekend and noticed we`re 11-2 to win the league along with Norwich and for some reason Wolves. Southampton are 9-2 favourites!!?? I thought it was a good price & had 100 on it! Anyone else backed us for better odds?

and for some reason Wolves.

Wolves had a great second half of last season, after Hoddle took over. I fully expect them to be well up the division this year.

Not confident we'll be champions but have taken a more conservative double that we'll be promoted/West Ham to be relegated @ 4.85.

The troube is that whenever Wolves are tipped to do well, they always flatter to deceive. When they got promoted people had largely written them off.

I'm not sure how they will handle the pressure this season, to be honest. Their fans really are the most expectant and impatient bunch.

I've put 20 quid on Leeds at 12/1 at Ladbrokes, as well as a tenner three way on Nottingham Forest, Souness to be first manager out and Northampton. Not a bad return on those but I don't hold out much hope.

Wanted to put something on CP but having already bet on Leeds it would have guaranteed I couldn't possibly win both.

I've got 2 on Palace both finishing first and being 10+ points clear of the 2nd placed team!

Not a bad bet when you think of AJ.

You can get 2-1 with Hills on us being promoted.

13-2 with a lot of places, will take about 200 at that, and lay a 200 for us not to win the league once we are clear at about EVENS, that could happen a month in if we get max point from 3 games, AJ to be top scorer at 6/1 is looking tasty as well

In the CCC or the Premiership? ;)

CCC, but if you wait until he starts in August, it's seriously worth a bet, should hit 30 goals in that league, and if we are clear/near the top in January, unlikely he would go anywhere

I put a fiver on us to win the ccc the day after we got relegated. I think I got 7-1.

If you bet on AJ for top scorer and he left before the start of the season would you get your stake refunded? Tempted to stick a hefty wedge on if you can get 6's.

No. His goals tally would count if he went to another CCC side, but if he went to a PL side, goals tally would count at the time of leaving (no PL goals would count). Not much money in that market at the moment (betfair), don't know what the other firms are doing. Worth waiting on that for the moment until kick off.

You could have got 14's earlier if you'd jumped on then!
