Hungarian

Hi there,

I'm a Hungarian guy from Budapest. This Sunday I'm going to travel to London for three days. I would join the local Palace community... you know, Király and Torghelle... to the truth you are my favourite English club.
Where are staying the REAL CP fans in London? Do you have a popular tavern or pub somewhere? It would be a real pleasure to meet you and drink together for Palace....

Cheers: Laci from Budapest

Hi Laci,

The club is based in South Norwood, which is near Croydon, in South East London (SE25). I would imagine that the best places would be the surrounding areas. But I am not best placed to advise. I'm sure you will receive plenty of useful responses before Sunday. Good luck.

Why any Palace fan would want to drink with away fans is a mystery to me but there you go.

I'd rather be with my own kind.

I found The Cherry Tree on the web - it is located in Station Road, isn't it?

Btw this bloke clearly isn't going to be going to any games so whether the pubs are near the ground or not I imagine is a non issue more or less.

gjtango, do you like this place?

Cherry Tree, nothing special but the easiest place to get a drink out of Norwood Junction Train Station.

Good luck Hungarian. You might not find that many welcoming Palace fans in the pub unless Crystal Palace are actually playing.

As much as Palace do have some rather odd and sad fans, why do you feel the need to adopt the insult primarily used by Millwall prats to have a go at people who support the same team as you?

Because he doesnt want to associate people with an IQ of over 20.

If he doesnt want to be associated with "nigels", maybe he should post more on HoL, and less on here.

That's your prerogative, and fair enough, but it's also the prerogative of those you dub Nigels to drink with away fans if they so choose. Live and let live innit. :)

Maybe if you drank with away fans once or twice you'd have less bullshit to spew at your fellow supporters :p
