I'm chuffed to see such a positive response so far. 80% of us can't be wrong??

01-12-2005, 09:06 AM
On current form Millwall must be odds on to win. Unless we show some of the missing spirit on Saturday and are prepared to battle I can see them sneaking a 0-1 win.

However if we play to our potential and Dowie is brave with his team selection (make changes where they are needed) then we should win, but it wont be easy.

The first 15-20 mins will be crucial.

01-12-2005, 09:16 AM
Nervous about this one, can see it being very tight, but ending 0-1 (Dyer). More pressure on our young midfield, shaky defence & manager I am afraid. I am hoping for an AJ hattrick though. Ah no, after all I am going to go for 4-1 (3 AJ,Doogie & Dyer for them).Onwards & upwards.Got to stay positive.

01-12-2005, 09:28 AM
hard fought 2-1 win. (AJ and Clint for us, Bruce for them). 22,222

01-12-2005, 09:57 AM
Palace 1 Millwall 2, Darren Ward will get heckled throughout and have a stinker, Bruce Dyer or Barry Hayles will no doubt pop up with a late winner.

We'll win this one by a couple of goals.

The reasons:

1. Millwall are rubbish
2. We're at home and believe it or not, actually have a good record at Selhurst
3. Our light-weight midfielders can't hide in front of a home crowd and will have to put in the effort
4. AJ's back

3-1 to Palace. AJ, Ward and Watson. Attendance: 22,000

02-12-2005, 12:36 PM
Vicar, Millwall are not rubbish. They were very unlucky not to knock Brum out of the Carling Cup, and the reports have them as the better side. This thread has nasty similarities to the BHA at home thread.
If we don't play with a bit of spirit, I can see more points slipping away here. But don't think Millwall are as bad as their league position makes them look, as they aren't.

I don't disagree...but the league table doesn't lie. Regardless of the league table, if we don't play with spirit, you are absolutely right. But see my analysis...the team will play with spirit or they will be tarred and feathered.

we were so lamentably uberbobbins last week I have little or no hope for this...especially against the evil pile of filth that is millwall and their knobhead fans

but it's palace, anything can happen...

i'm thinking a 1-1 draw - johnson for us and dyer for them in the 96th minute with a thrice taken penalty

02-12-2005, 05:47 PM

i would love us to win. on recent form at home we will not play well but scrape a 2-0 win. If we do not figt hard or show any passion we will get beat easily. If we are up for it and play with a high tempo and passion we will win and it may kick start our season. but ive been said before the brighton away game that that shouldve kick started our season...obviously not. if any other manager lost to there rivals (brighton at home) and produced the shocking performence away against brighton and then lost to millwall they would be sacked. But weve got dowie and SJ is keeping him because of he got us promoted.

Very predictable this one.

A game that one paper, looking a player against player, we should stroll it.

How ever as a result of another depressing lack of fight compared to the opposition, it will end in another 0-1 reverse.

Would take 0-0.

Call it pessimism,

but then think of luton home / away; Scum at home etc.........

A crap performance ending 1-0 with Bruce Dyer missing a last minute penalty would do for me but I'd much prefer a gutsy showing, whatever the result, and not the toot we had against Brighton.
