so many times he would beat his man and the ball into the front players would be too hard/soft... which is such a shame because its the only part of his game that needed improvement in my eyes. As he covers his positon well otherwise.

Perhaps since he has been away this side of his game has improved. If it hasn't then i would rather we spent £1m elsewhere.

Although saying that sounds like it could well happen so i'll support him when he plays.

They can do the switching from flank to flank to bewilder the full backs trick that Jules & Wayne pretty much perfected in '04.

No he turns it on as often as Reich does. Half his crosses hit the first palyer and the rest missed everyone in the box. He scored a couple of good goals in the cup and thats it. Jobi insists on playing on the left so where is Gray going to play or will he just be back up. If we are going to get ex players back I would prefer Jansen or Kabba.

To see us with balance on the wings would be a fe*king miracle. Jobi cutting in on the left, despite a few goals, and Tom unable to get to the byeline leaves us short of what's required. If we had JG on the left, JM on the right and a tough centre i'd fancy us for promotion.

Absolutely not - he had a terrible attitude and couldnt even crack a smile at the play off final in cardiff - jordan had to physically force him to hold the trophy when it was his fault he missed the game through suspension

his attitude sucks and unless it has improved dramatically then no, not for me

He already knew at this point that he wasn't going to sign a contract. He felt that as he didn't play he shouldn't have lifted the trophy. Those were his own words. Without him we wouldn't have even been in the play-offs!

It took some bollocks for him to come back, to play for us whilst people were booing his name and to turn some excellent performances in. If anything, IMHO it showed what an excellent attitude he had with the right management.

He's shown at Brum he can't play at left back which isn't really the point. With Gray we can push on up the league, with players like Scowcroft and Kuqi we need that second winger to give balance like the Routledge/Gray did in 2004. Can you name another left winger of that ability that is avaliable for loan at the moment?

TBH I am very unsure of his ability. He had some good days and some very bad ones. He might be worth a try, but I think, like Black, he has more ability than application, and that is why he won't live up to his own opinion of himself. I would cheer him if it happens, but I won't be holding my breath for great performances.

I agree, he can have on and off days. Infact he frustrated me with some of his shooting and passing at times, saying that I think he could be the best option we have to try and sort left wing at the moment.

I'm willing to give any player a second chance.

You never know Clint may have whispered in his ear how much better the current regime is under PT.

Pure speculation...

But like I said. You never know.

I've gotta say I'd love to have the bloke back- Two wingers? At the same time... Stuff of dreams that is.

IF JG and the fans can get over the history the prospect of him and Jobi providing us with much needed pace on the wings and on the break is a good one. A loan isn't bad either cos if it doesn't work out he can go back unlike other signings which have cost us dear.
Look forward to hearing something today hopefully ( more concerned to get O'Brien in first though ! )

dont people remember how fustrating he was, only performing when he felt like it, or in front of sky sports cameras. he was good against l pool and leeds, but shite against teams like forest. he was never intersted in palace, only him self and advertising himself for top teams. •••• julian gray, and i would boo him if he came back.

A host of clubs are understood to be monitoring Julian Gray's situation at Birmingham.

The 27-year-old has featured only sparingly this term under Steve Bruce and a move now looks likley.

The former Crystal Palace star is now being strongly tipped to make a move in January with a number of clubs looking to pounce.

The likes of Tottenham and Newcastle are said to be keen on a cut-price move when the transfer window opens, although Liverpool, Portsmouth and Wigan have also been mentioned as possible suitors.

Gray in recent times has been adapted to play at left back, although his preferred option is believed to still be a left winger - however, his new-found versatility is also sure to appeal to any interested parties.

Is this a joke? :D

When Birmingham went down many expected him to stay in the premiership or go abroad. (He was linked with Real Betis). He was of the players who apparantly refused to play for them at the end of last season. I think thats why he can't get much of a game at the moment.

Still a premiership quality player. The Liverpool Interest does sound like a joke though.

Spotted Julian in the BP garage last night near Bromley (near Glades).

Shook his hand said he was injured and visiting family.

Asked him if he'd like to come back and he said no way because we all hate him.

Nice car by the way BMW 7 series 1yr old! wen me and my mate pulled up next to it we said ' now thats either a drug dealer or a footballer!'.

He had G-unit trainers on aswell, oh dear sort it out julian!:bash:
