We're 16-1 to get relegated this season. Well worth a bet considering we can't score a goal.

Shouldn't that be 1-16?

Final table...

24(R). Crystal Palace P46 W0 D23 L23 F0 A46 Pts 23 :sob:

Even then, we'd still be the only team in the world worth watching... and you could imagine how we'd all laugh when we hit the post in injury time of the very last game and watched the ball roll along the goal-line invitingly for Kuqi to come and blaze it over the bar. :D

Get a grip. The club doesn't "need supporters like you" that think some people are not good enough for CPFC. the guy was having a bit of a joke and you jump into judgemental mode. I can't stand fans that do that.

I saw an even stupid price yesterday, England 14-1 to Win World Cup with JT as captain!.

Who the hell compiled that price?? Should be more like 66-1.

Most of these odd compilers dont know there arse from there elbow.

How could you want to win money on palace failing? Get a grip we have played 2 games and if NW gets a good striker we wil be a force to be reconed with this year.

It'd be like that Prem season when we couldn't win at home and we blew leads, and we capitulated against some teams, and we sucked, but we tried god damn it... until that game against Derby when Curcic was instrumental in a 3-1 win.

Ah, the days when we were crap but could still score three times in a game  :o :D

Precisely, and when we did finally beat Derby it felt like we'd won the world cup (but secretly we were thinking "shit, we had a whole season without a home win within our grasp and now we've gone and mucked it up").

I've been on holiday and so Burnley will be my first game of the season... I can't wait for that feeling of going to a game again (and for that crushing sense of despondency one can anticipate at about ten to five). :)

So the bookies are saying it is more likely that England will win the world cup than that Palace will go down.

That should re-assure me.

Strangely, it doesn't...

i guess you could see it as an emotional hedge. stick 20 quid on at 16-1 and if the worst happens you at least get your season ticket paid for next season (assuming you want to watch div1 week in week out)

Two tempting options. Tough choice.

My choice would prob be for England winning the World Cup though.

I think that I should have a bet on each game. 4 out of 4 right so far !
