Nah, I was just wondering if they still were raising funds and wanted some programmes to sell!

Just thought of a joke!!!!

A gay guy wants a Polish partner and advertises! He receives a reply asking him to contact Mr Sheene!!!!

sorry!

I'm sorry to tell you that Rob Judd, who took over the CP-FRIS email serivce from Ray Bateup, died suddenly last year.

The Charity are still active, but whether they have an outlet to turn old programmes into cash is another matter. Other threads on the BBS suggest that unless they are pre-1960 then old programmes don't fetch very much these days.

Bloody Hell - I didn't know that. How awful.

Thanks Neil,

Sorry to hear about Rob!! It really makes you think don't it!!!

Anyone go any ideas how I can turn the programmes into cash for the party?

I'd even sign my page on each one if it made a difference!

Rob

I think there is thread on Rob's untimely passing away in this (General Palace Discussion) forum about April time this year, so a search back 20/25 screens may find details.

There was a thread about it at the time, IIRC. It certainly was a shame as, for a time cp-fris was a vital connection to Palace matters and Rob was heroic for taking on Ray's mammoth task.

I tried to find, but with the search facility not 100%, I didn't get anywhere.

It's here, I've only closed it in case, anyone thinks it's recent news... (there's been one post already)

Rob,

I am in the market to buy some programmes. Bit of a long story but when I moved house 9 years ago, I was obsessed with getting rid of 'junk'. As a result, I took a whole suitcase full of mainly Palace programmes to the tip. I really don't know what I was thinking about and I have regretted it to this day.
Anyway, I was at a family wedding last Friday and I was given hundreds of Palace programmes from 1964-1978. My original collection was from the days when I was a home and away regular between 1983 and 1992.
I would be very interested in buying any programmes between these dates, preferably from someone with a 'job-lot' as opposed to one or two here and there. If only I had kept my collection I would have a pretty good spread of programmes between 1964 and 1992. Since I dumped my collection, I have not been able to bring myself to starting a new one but now my son is really getting into going to matches, we are starting to buy again.
Do you have any from these dates? Of course, if you prefer, I will pay the money to the Cp-Fris.
Thanks,
Dave.
