James has quite rightly banned a contributor for posting a malicious thread on the transfer forum.

The reasons were specific: rumours posted in good faith that have some substance are allowable, downright inventions or fantasies posted as fact are not.

Can we now please extend that to the financial position of the club and the Chairman as an individual. Using the same criteria will no doubt harm the hallowed freedom of speech championed by our legal brethren but will ensure we don't have to suffer the interminable drivel espoused by people who have no other information than filed accounts.:p

What gives you the right to stop people commenting on the company's published accounts. Do you live in Russia or China? Sounds like you would be happoer there where people believe that the views you expressed are acceptable. There is no room for censoring comment. However, I would agree that comment dressed up as fact which has no basis in fact is unacceptable. That is something rarely seen on BBS on financial matters where people tend to say openly on what they base their comment and their level of knowledge.

Do you still believe in the fairies ?

When you can prove that the financial speculation is downright invention/fantasy, you will have a point.

I suggest you hit the books and get cracking.

Why create a thread about banning members who make comments based on malicous fantasies then have dig at someone who uses factual filed accounts to back up their speculative opinions?
