I saw him play for the ressies at Croydon the other week & he put in a good stint.

This is an excellent move for him

Is an exciting signing for Chesterfield! Good luck to him, and I certainly hope to see him back in a Palace shirt.

He started for them today - did well according to reports in a 3-2 away win.

Why was he called back from Crawley so soon?

Gazza2

He admitted himself that the loan to Crawley was too soon for him after how much football he had missed due to injury and he was not fit enough to do himself juistice at that time.

Smith has been barely used of late & only has a contract till January.
Anyone else think we will let him go & just put Djilali or Lee Hills on the bench for that matter..

Hopefully the loan spell at Saltergate will have done him well

LOL - he returned today and then they agreed a further 1 month extension so he has gone back up. Good news as he is obviously rated up there having started 6 games and scoring one.

He is now lo loan until Sat 9th January which coincidentally happens to be within the transfer window.

Crystal Palace midfielder Kieran Djilali has returned to Selhurst Park after his loan spell at Chesterfield.

The 19-year-old made eight appearances for the League Two club following his arrival at Saltergate on November 13.

Good news. We are likely to need him, and he will be a better player for the experience of getting some games there

Probably got him back because he is the only Palace player with wages, he can lend all the others a few bob.

Cadogan's back as well.
Probably spells the end for Ryan Smith.

We may be able to fill the bench this weekend!

Cadogan's & Djilali's spells out will have done them good & they may well see some game time here between now & the summer

The Chesterfield fans opinions on him are mixed, although most the negative ones are discounted by what appear to be the more reasoned posters.

Plenty of bickering on their site, reminds me of most threads on here!
