Joel Ledgister and Dominic Matcham are on trial at palace and are in the squad for tonight's reserve game against Eastbourne.

Joel is playing and Dominic is on the bench

I think Joel is a 6ft 22 year old defender / winger on trial - seems he had a couple of seasons at Oxford United but was released end of last season - http://www.oufc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10342~38228,00.html

Dominic I think is fro the Plymouth youth team

Joel Ledgister might get a deal based on last night performance.

Really? I thought he was very average.

Overall perhaps - But one moment of great skill - Speed & crossing ability and strength were there. I'm thinking a deal with the reserve team maybe? Worth another game or 2.

Disagree, thought Legister was one of the better players out there, looked a good player, liked his work rate and crossing ability

A 22 year old who has never played higher than the Conference, many of those appearances as a sub. Be still my beating heart.

I bet there is only a couple of hundred of 22 year olds in total that actually have!

It might not be that exciting right now but I am happy they are looking at potential when we are short of cash

Not convinced myself. We havd Djilali and Smith who can play in that position and both look much better.

He was a full back at Gravesend before Oxford bought him in as a defender but played him as a winger so maybe they want to look at him in both positions. We shall see though, he will either meet the mark or be one of the many who do not.

It's a shame that he felt the need to register on the BBS and pretend to be someone else in order to defend himself :o

One of my housemates is an avid Oxford fan.

He said Ledgister is very, very, very raw. He then laughed uncontrollably when I said we'd taken him on trial. Hmm.
