Not sure he was much good but was a nice bloke when I met him at Palace raceday at Lingfield. All the best Simon!

I nearly crapped myself when the text came through. I was reading the Fonte thread at the time and thought he had gone to Saints. Boy my nerves are shredded with all this.

For every Beckford, Morrison (Millwall), Austin (Swindon) there are hundreds of Thomas's. Good luck to the lad

Yep.

Will never forget reading he came on as a sub against Wolves once.

Good luck Simon.

Warnock never gave him a chance :(

Warnock never gave him a chance :(

He brought him to the club though. So he did give him a chance, in training, in reserve matches and he also went out on loan.

I think Warnock may know just a little bit about the judgement of players than me, you or anyone else on here.

Why do people still question Warnock?

I am in the US. I haven't seen him play. I have no idea what he's like.

I trust Warnock's judgement.

Who is that other bloke? Matthew Wright? Is he any good or does he have the same fate?

Exactly and on the plus side, Calvin Andrew seems to be making the grade.

Very obviously, too. FP is c_block though, unless the bruvs are sharing both accounts.

How's it possible to tell the difference between them?

Only saw Thomas the once, in the Dougie testimonial against Fulham. Looked good in the air and I remember thinking he had a bit more about him than Calvin Andrew. Presumably he hasn't progressed as expected but it doesn't mean to say he won't make it elsewhere eventually.

Good luck ST.

I presume you're referring to 'Calvin Andrew Goal Machine'?

Surprising, he was better than that I thought, albeit nowhere near Champ standard. If he was prepared to drop that far, it's surprising he didn't end up at Bromley. Loads of Palace connections, and they certainly need a player of that type at Hayes Lane

Simon Thomas has now moved onto Chelmsford City after a trial with Colchester United.
