Breaking transfer news: Wednesday, April 7; Manchester City, Roma, Blackburn, Sheffield United, Sunderland, Spurs, QPR, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Bolton, Chelsea, Birmingham and Newcastle Manchester City are ready to spark a cross-city battle with United for A 24m-rated Roma striker Mirko Vucinic.

Yes please.

He sounds promising, but we should only pursue if the Nugent deal falls through. Which my sources tell me is very unlikely.

Imagine Koumas and Deco providing the ammunition for Da Nuge. Amazing.

He's no M'bargo

08-04-2010, 03:24 PM
I like the fact that Roma are in the fight to secure the 24m player from themselves.

i think he tried to copy and paste man city and messed up

No doubt Bob Dowie is working round the clock to 'get this body over the line'.

Has Nugent signed yet?.

Obviously the pulling power of the P Diddy link has us now battling with the big boys for the sort of signings we should be realistically looking at to partner Calvin Andrew

Realistically, I think we will face stiff competition from Sheffield Utd with this one.

Dodgy shoulder. Best avoided.

I hope this is just the start of the new owners spending or i'll be very underwhelmed at the ambition (or lack of,) that's being shown by them.

08-04-2010, 08:40 PM
Well, I have to be honest and say that I think Vucinic is overated. He's no Alan Lee thats for sure.

He won't clap the fans...avoid

Is the Cahill deal dead then?

08-04-2010, 08:59 PM
Why are we even looking at someone no body has heard of? We should be going after players like Messi & Fabregas we need cover for Andrew and Derry not some 2nd rate Roma player

see now this annoys me - we are not even out of administration yet - we don't have an owner, and what about that transfer embargo???, and we are lining up 24m bids for players in the summer.

Oh yeah, we should probably win that cross-city battle no problem. I will buy a Palace shirt with his name on tomorrow

Its all part of the new owner's '5 year plan' :D

That's quite a large city to cross.

09-04-2010, 07:14 AM
No, he's going to Portsmouth. Done deal.

09-04-2010, 07:20 AM
Would be a great signing, can feed off the Deco through balls!

I'm not sure he's quite up to our level - but then if you pay peanuts what do you expect? Still - I reckon Mourinho will get the best out of him for us.

09-04-2010, 07:34 AM
Went down to selhurst today. Club shop already out of c's

09-04-2010, 02:52 PM
Folly to splash out this sort of dosh on a new striker when we still have Mike Elwiss working his way back from injury.

09-04-2010, 03:14 PM
I don't think he'd push Calvin Andrew out of the side at the moment. You can't change a winning side ;)

Always negativity with you lot !

Please say Goldberg is not in the group to buy Palace....

He's no M'bargo
well we have to get rid of M'bargo first obviously. I doubt they could play together
