I just wrote this for FYP - thoughts? :)

There is something incredibly exciting about the transfer rumour merry-go-round. Reading that your club is in the hunt for some new talent is almost always well-received – but it will be even more so to Palace fans.

We Eagles haven’t had it easy in the last two seasons with very few players coming in and a whole host of young stars leaving – but with new owners, new management and a new perspective comes news that Palace might well be in the hunt for a few players.

COMPLETELY AGREE. Everyone who uttered a word of transfer talk whilst we were in admin fully got abused!! All the talk was about parish and co. NOW WE CAN ACTUALLY BUY PPL!!

"Whatever the case, the squad we’ll see in the coming season will be entirely different from the one we cheered off following the Wednesday draw" Not strictly true. Considering Burley has said we don't need to sell anyone and we have only seen Derry, Hill and Ertl go, the main of bulk of last season's squad will probably play a big part again this season.

agree with this. There's a lot of hyperbole about sweeping changes. There doesn't need to be. Btw, any idea about whether Andrew and Djilali are going to sign new contracts they were offered a month ago?

It is good to be linked with players - it makes a refreshing change after the austerity of the last couple of years; its also good to see the hopeful (and hopeless) suggestions of people we should be targeting coming back too. Just as long as CPFC 2010 and George Burley take them with a large pinch of salt....

I'm sensing sarcasm in your tone. ;)

Before we had the soul destroying 10 point deduction, we were flying high, chasing a play-off place, so yes, having the same team as last year with a couple of new addidtions (improvments some might argue), does bode well I think.
