Certainly worth keeping tabs on - if a big 4 club picks him up he wont get in the team and might be out seeking first team experience on loan.

I'm gonna give the OP the benefit of the doubt and reckon he's just pointing out the monumental cock-up Everton made.

If he isn't, he's a crazy ******!

Deliberately runs down his contract at Everton and snubbed a 15k deal so that he could join Palace in the Championship for 5k a week. It is all about playing regular first team football. :D

Can't believe Bill Kenwright made such an obvious and stupid error in not offering him a contract on paper.

I feel sorry for Plymouth, as they won't receive any kind of additional fees as a result of this error.

I'm sure he will jump at the chance to drop down a league & get paid about 2k per week.

Gosling will end up at a top 6 club, very good young midfielder.

Its only a stupid mistake if you're dealing with an untrustworthy person.

Everton had an oral agreement with this player who they trained, nurtured and gave opportunity to. In many ways reminds me of what Bostock did.

He's left Everton.

Yeah, they bought him from Plymouth for about 250k maybe a year or 2 ago.

God knows who slotted that clause in there. Anyway, you'd think the kid or his agent would have reminded the club of the error, instead of just walking out. It seems very strange. My money is on him being snapped up by a southern prem team.

In any case, he is bang in trouble with an injury for another six months.

Very surprised to see him released. Although if i was Bill Kenwright i'd be trying to tie him to more than a 2 year deal..

as they say, oral agreements are not worth the paper they're written on.

It's not like Newcastle to sign an injured player on 25k p/w is it?

Historically they only do 100k p/w and up ...
