Never heard of him. I like the league table on the right hand side of that link. Top 6!

His goals record on wikipedia is less than encouraging.

Hmm, not good enough for Orient or MK Dons...

Noooooo.

If he can't do the business in League one, no thankyou!

Calm down, he's only on a trial just like Liam Bidcutt.

...finished last season in League Two on loan at Aldershot Town, where he impressed with four goals in nine games

Thats encouraging enough however it is league two

He's on trial. He can play wide, up front and even centre mid. He's worth a look.

I can't see what is wrong with giving him a trial.

This reminds me of the Calvin Andrew signing. To me Calvin was signed as a backup striker happy to sit in the reserves waiting for his opportunity to become an established member in the first team. In the guys defense - especially when you consider he's spent quite a lot of time out with that horrific injury - he's achieved more than I thought he would. I hope that if Morgan's trial is succesful the same will happen to hi,/

Correct, no harm in doing so - see what he can do; I suppose he'll play some part in the Crawley game??

Exactly. This is what pre-season's all about (particularly those games against the smaller opposition). Try a few players out and see who could do a job.

As Harry Monk pointed out, he did look good against us for Luton. When ever I've seen him in fact he's looked good. The only problem is a lot of that is at lower level.

I wouldn't be too worried about his goal record. I'm almost certain he's not an out and out striker, although even if he impresses I wouldn't be blown away by him signing.

'He has some ability and shows occasional flashes of talent, but he is a right moany tw*t and is generally exceptionally sh*t - if you sign him he will be the new boo boy'

No harm in giving him a chance tomorrow see how he gets on, just happy we have a club

He broke through the reading ranks with Nathan Tyson (forest) but they both looked impressive and started well, but ended up being shifted out, Morgan had a little bit of an attitude which didn't help, however kind of player who excites but doesn't always have the finishing you'd want, hence goals ratio. But he's big and strong and quick, so who knows, especially on a free...

Im sure i remeber stories of him having a stinking attitude? cant quite remember if it was him or not. Not inspired by this, don't think hes good enough for this league.

No harm in playing him as a trialist and seeing where that goes. No risk to the club and always the possibility that he could come good if he impresses. 6month contract max.

Not the sort of player we should be going for IMO. Need someone proven to score some goals.

Worth a trial. Played well for MK against Charlton last season. Shot regularly too. With some good coaching, he might be an unpolished diamond

Too old for that. Worth a trial but I'd be amazed if anything came of it.

So you would also have thought the decision not to continue with the trial of Gerrard all those years ago. A trial costs us nothing and could gain us everything.

Saw him at Aldershot once last season, it was a little confusing as at the time they had two morgans but he looked fairly decent to me.

he ripped us apart on first day of 05/06 season for luton lightning quick !

But in fairness we were awful that day, the team totally believed their own hype & looked as though they really believed all they had to do was turn up to beat Luton.
Still I like it when we look at players like this. And we have to trust Burley to know what he's doing, his record demands that really.

please no, released by mk dons surely that says it all

I'm sitting on the fence. The fact he has been loaned out to a Lge 2 side and released by a Lge 1 side points to him not being very reliable and/or any good, but as several people have said - a trial is what it is.

Let's sit back and trust GB for now. For what it's worth, I hope Morgan earns a deal and is fantastic for us, but I have a feeling that he won't be signed up.

not too bad at Crawley, perhaps he'll get another run out on Saturday

He played at Broadfield last night against Crawley town. He was lively and quick and he switched his position well during the game. He started to struggle second half and may be out of condition.

In a game broken up by numerous substitutions he suggested that he might be worth looking at again. The jury's out which is probably a bad sign for him.

Didn't see anything in his performance at Crawley to get excited about. I would move on with this one.

Just my opinion like.

i think a pay as you play contract until january would be a good move for this guy. he may just have the best months of his career lets give him a try

I wouldn't touch this fella with a barge pole. Poor player whose level is way below the championship. In both games so far he's shown poor first touch & no composure whatsoever even though occasionally getting into good positions.
