I read today that they have 16,yes 16, players out of contract this summer.

Maybe worth trying to pick a couple off?

Is Michael Hughes still there?

Also what about Coventry? Apparently they have to offload players too.

Hughes only went to Brum on loan. I ve seen Wimbledon a few times this season and Cunningham still playing well Trond Anderson is a very godd midfield player and David Connely is a very capable striker at division 1 level and is an Ireland international

I think that one of the main reasons why Wimbledon are in deep **** is that the conveyor belt of talent has stopped. They have always managed to bail themselves out of trouble by selling a couple of players for 5m + (Cort, Thatcher, Euell, etc) at the end of the season.

The only player I would have bothered with was Cooper and he's gone to Wolves. The rest wouldn't add anything to our squad.

And now that their manager has gone for a Burton, there'll be a clamour for the exit doors presumably.

He is only on-loan apparently.

Patrick Agyemang is a very good young striker.
I would also go for Cunningham, Andersen and Ardley.

Yeah but they've been brought up on Carl Leaburn and John Fashanu so what the **** would they know about strikers?

Ofcourse they have good players, you can't finish where they did with all the problems they have had without good players! Michael Hughes looks like he will go Brum, Ardley is good, Cunningham, Anderson (very good), Shipps (over the hill me thinks), Connely is a very nifty little player with great off ball runs and positional sense, Davis is a great keeper but destined for higher than us, Agymang, McAnuff is very good prospect as it that other forward errrm can't remember name at mo but scored on debut andwanted by Spurs for 750,000 (Dons want more). O yea he is called Lionel Morgan

Whether they are decent targets for us depends on the players style of play and position (and price), for instance Anderson (fans fave) is a centre back or centre mid and tall which I feel we could do with, another centre back if price is right.

Dave Connolly is decent (according to my dad his dad & uncles were hard players at Gaelic though).
Neil Shipperley supported our club in its darkest hour.
In terms of the rest of the players I am agnostic.

Their fans: most of them are in the Touchdown cell in Greece (or the train spotting equivalent).....
