Taken a punt on Slovenia for this one (10 @ 6-1 ) so I guess its the Slovenes for me.

They looked ok today, Raul seems to have risen to the challenge.

Who is this De Pedro guy? He looked quality yet i hadn't heard of him before! Also, found it hard to believe the referee gave a penalty at the end. It was a 50-50 and as Slovenia had the ball to begin with i thought it harsh to give a penalty.

Plays for Real Sociedad. Excellent left peg as you've probably seen, but does not score too many. I think he's about 28 though. Other people you might want to look out for are Albert Luque, nippy striker who partners Eto'o at Mallorca, and Joaquin who plays at real Betis. Has been touted as the Spanish Figo. Looks a bit like Steven Gerrard.

Ah, Sociedad..

I know about Luque and Joaquin. Eto'o looks like a class act too, bit raw but he's still only 21(?) and has been around for years now!

I'd like to see Spain do well - they never seem to have much luck (although the late penalty to settle their nerves was a bit dodgy, to say the least).

They are a classy team - in fact, I thought both teams looked streets ahead of us. :(

I've heard that he's signing for Spurs. What do you think?

He's been linked to loads of people, but he said he dedicated his goal against England to the Spurs fans because he nutmegged Campbell in the build up!

Bit of youth, pace and flair.. not too bad as a signing. Be a little worried when African Nations competition time comes around though.
