According to SSN we're interested, along with Huddersfield, Everton and a couple of others. I'm assuming we'll be priced out.

Would be a great addition if Dougie got this one "over the line", though :)

Who is he?

Sorry for the rather vague question but I know nothing about him, his position etc.

Cheers! :)

If Everton are involved I doubt we stand a chance, unless he doesn't expect first team football there. Then, it's anyone's guess. He's had a brilliant start to the season I think, so I would be interested to see what he can do down here.

Plays for Dundee United I think, attacking midfielder.

Blonde bloke for Dundee?

I'll be very surprised if Everton sign him.

I swear Everton are after everyone! I reckon we can sign him in front of the other teams mentioned apart from Everton. Can't see him getting a game there though...

Dundee United want a decent wedge for him. More than I reckon we'd be willing to punt.

His brother Jack is a quality player, bit of a terrier always snapping at heels

Quality player from what I've seen of him. Worth a shot that's for sure. Left footed striker.

If he's sensible he would have seen how big the gulf is between the SPL and Premier League and seen how players don't always get gametime (Goodwillie at Blackburn last season for example!)

Can't say we look a great club to join at present though based on our current position in the table. Maybe he might like Dougie?

Scored this number the other week and has three goals to his name already this season. 22 years old and a jolly good player who can play on either wing and upfront. Would be a great signing if we are interested and got him!

I swear Dorman scored a few like that too.

If it is the blond lad I'm thinking about then that is just what we need. Can't see it though.

Whenever I've seen him play on highlights, I've been very impressed - got clever movement, a great turn of pace and a pretty deadly eye for goal.

But then this is the SPL where we got St Mirren's answer to Iniesta from.

You what? I saw Everton were interested, but never expected us to be after him. Would like to sign him, decent goalscoring record (41 in 141 games)

Sounds good, when we play a team of Dicks they will fail to score.

would be a decent player to have, but expect his value will have gone up a fair bit after his performance vs. Dundee.

Celtic have already bid 500,000 plus a fringe player and been turned down. Mail online had this:

Huddersfield manager Simon Grayson is keen to take the player to Yorkshire although he will only match United’s 2million asking price in the event that Blackburn conclude a deal to sign Jordan Rhodes.

If they are expecting anything near that fee we are out (if we were ever in as can't find a mention)

Shame it sounds like he's out of our price range.

From the sounds of it the lads got a bit about him, could easily be the next gem from the scottish leagues coming down. If the money was there for a 1 million bid wouldn't be a bad shout (especially as all the scottish clubs are supposedly hurting due to ranger's absence this season so it could be they'd need to fill a hole in the balance sheet and are talking up his value).
