He's put in a transfer request at Spurs. A player who looked good for Bradford when he was on loan and player I would want, but how much do you think he's worth?

Be a shame if Spurs let him go, but Ziege is clearly a better left midfielder/wing back.

Probably about 2m, he is well worth it. Might be better on loan though, doubt Spurs would really like to sell. Or at least i hope they wouldn't!

Could be a player Spurs try to use if they try and sign clint.

I think he is a player with great potential (still). However in the current financila climate, I don't think we could afford to have 3 left wingers in our squad.

We don't need anymore left sided players IMO

we need a central midfielder, not a left sided one.

can he not play right side?! I would try and convert him! We already have adequate left-sided cover for Julian and Rubins

Reports in the weekends papers suggested that he was on the verge of singing for Southampton for 3.5m.

Just to bring this back up - apparently Etherington's on his way this summer. A little ambitious perhaps, but with Jools probably on his merry way :D we need a genuine left-winger, and Matt is definately out of Jool's league, but has possibly tainted himself a bit premiership-wise. Worth a new big-time charlie style contract? I think so - anyone?

What?

I would think so at the right price

I doubt very much that Etherington is worth anywhere near 2 million in today's climate Daniel.

However - we can do you a part swap for Julian Gray if you like ;)

Absolutley yes. BTW A Liverpool fan I spoke to thinks Gray should join them, he can't believe that most Palace fans want him to go! I pointed out his prefernce for the TV cameras...

The great thing with Etherington is we could mangle that Black Uhuru song into a chant for him.

think so but when it was posted we had a lightweight guy by the name of Rubins playing for us. Check the date on glaziers fan's post :)

Etherington is class which is why he came from Posh with Davies for a million and sell-on clauses. Davies has obviously progressed the better, and Etherington seems to have a real chip on his shoulder about not getting enough starts!

Good player - too expensive - wants premiership football.
