The Sun reports this morning that we are after Rusden's Jamaican International Paul Hall. Does anyone know of him and how do you rate him?

No mention of money

Answering my own question this is what the Rusden web site states:

"Jamaican international signed in October on a free transfer from Walsall. A quick player who will give Brian Talbot further options down the right-hand side. Represented his country in the 1998 World Cup finals. Began his career with Torquay United before coming to prominence at Porstmouth. Had a brief spell with Coventry City before moving to Walsall. Jamaican international signed in October on a free transfer from Walsall."

I think I'll just sit here and write to my self !!:D

He used to cause us a few problems whenever we played Pompey in the mid nineties if I remember right.

A while ago I would've said good signing (in fact I suggested him a few years back when we were in administration as he was on a free and out of contract then) - but now - I would say no.

29 and has gone from Pompey to Coventry, released by Walsall and now in Div 3 with Rushden.

Not knocking the bloke without seeing him (he might well be a good signing), but sounds like more of Trevor's journeyman stuff.

I'd rather we spent money (but I think it's time to realise we don't have any to spend) on a young lad from Div 2 or 3 with something to prove, not a player who's nearly 30 and playing Div 3 after being released by Wallsall.

And probably not the sort of signing to appease fans when Clinton's being sold on the cheap.

we cant afford him! If we have to sell Morrison for a third of his true worth then there must be hard times ahead. I think we will be in administration in a few months time.

He was a very quick and talanted player when he was at torquay, but he may be a bit old now....but he is a realy nice bloke to talk to .... :afro:

He isnt worth 12m.

He is worth what the highest bidder will pay, in this instance about 4m.

So good he was released by Walsall?

I think Thomson is a more than adequate squad player.

Steve Kember denied any interest in this bloke in today's 'Tizer.

Couldn't agree more. So that's why we need to acquire better midfielders :D
