Great news, would be nice for the club to put something official out there too.

Didn't Delaney say something similar months ago, but we've nothing official on him staying either?

`I had to do certain things to extend my contract ' . I hope it was worth it and he isn't too sore

The little boy in me is absolutely delighted! It's very hard to remember what a Speroni-less Palace was like!

Excellent news

Expect the stick beaters to swarm all over this thread. Some may even be right, perhaps his peak was last season. But if there's no room for sentiment in football, what's the ******* point?

Pretty sure he won't be first choice, but it would be cool if he'd reach 400 games.

Well done Julian.

Fans of other clubs think we are crazy to even consider wanting him to leave.

If so, why do they say that do you think?

If he is staying fairly sure he will start first choice with Hennesey leaving . He is not the best keeper in Premiership but he is good enough for another season - helps us win more points than losing them .

Played very well again today making some crucial saves. Love that he is staying.

Made some great saves today but I do wonder how many could be prevented if he come and collect more often. He made a superb save in the first half but it followed from him palming the ball out when he should've just held it. Glad he is staying but not sure if he will be first choice.

Do you mean in general or specifically from today's game?

Mainly in general but there was a few times today (maybe I'm being too critical) where I thought he could've come come and relived the pressure. He seemed to start then change his mind once or twice.

Agree that he sometimes is hesitant but most goalkeepers are against certain opponents. Think that he is much better coming for crosses than he was a couple of years back

Well deserved..and a great squad player (if not first choice) to have for next season.
