I think we should definitely reclaim this thread. Sign me up to the optimists club.

I'd have taken this position a couple of months ago and I think we'll have enough to scrape through. Nobody will be complacent now and Palace only really do well with their backs against the wall.

Come on Everton!

Would anyone prefer to be in Swansea's position?

If the answer is no, you have optimism.......

Reasons for hope:

1. Everton may want to show a little pride, not holding my breath, but maybe.
2. Hull City is beatable, if we get Cabaye back at least.
3. It's possible United will trot out literally their worst starting 11 possible and that they won't care about that match.

Its in our hands still so of course I'm optimistic.

We can beat Hull and Everton can beat Swansea.

Need Cabaye in the midfield though as he's the only one that closes down with any menace.

We need just one of about 8 games to go our way. So I'm still optimistic - but nervous of course

Hull losing ... to state the obvious, means that we just need to draw them now. I do feel we can do that. Not so sure we'd really do enough to win, but draw, yes perhaps.

Or Hull. They have similar or worse games to play and are still 4 points behind. They have to beat us and Spurs now maybe even to stay up if Swansea get six points from the last three games.

But I genuinely think Everton will win.

We are out from16/1 to 33/1 and Hull into 4/7 on for relegation. Definitely feel a little more confident after the Hull result.
