View Full Version : Pubs/clubs opening early on Sunday

Does anyone know if any of the pubs and clubs near the ground are planning to open early on Sunday due to the ridiculously early kick off? We'll have to leave early enough anyway but think we'll need at least a couple of pints before the game. I'd be particularly interested in any info about the Victory club, Cherry Tree and Albert Tavern but others may be interested in other places.

Anyone driving up the A21 the Rose & Crown at Grn st Grn now does breakfast 9-11am.
Mile up road Frankie n bennies do too and that appears popular with Palace fans on match day.

Nope, definitely closed. No-one will be going there. (Don't want it getting too full now, do we!) ;)

I think that I heard 9:30 but that could have been after I'd got pissed pre-Burnley and imagined it. You should be ok around 10.

Hardly worth it given it's 12 K/O and most will look to leave 45 mins after opening. Still at least you can drink, got work at 4 :sob:.

I'll be too hungover from celebrating our survival after Sunderland's win to drink before the Hull game.

The one on George Street King William was referring to is the one near to East Croydon station. Pretty certain it starts serving booze at 9am. Not sure about the Thornton Heath one though, I don't go down the pub at 9 in the morning.

Two brewers around 10am

Will the Two Brewers, or any other local boozer, be showing the match?

(or have internet so I can use Sportsmania)
