Here are the odds of the players we've been linked with:

Jarrod Bowen 18/1 on Skybet 6/1 BetVictor
Oumar Niasse 3/10 Betfair 4/1 BetVictor
Bradley Dack 12/1 Skybet 10/1 William Hill 16/1 Betfair
Neal Maupay 12/1 Skybet 7/1 Betfair.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek 16/1 Skybet 12/1 William Hill 8/1 Coral
Ademola Lookman 25/1 Skybet
Alvaro Morata 25/1 BetVictor
Andy Caroll 18/1 Skybet
Josh Maja 5/1 Skybet
Islam Slimani 8/1 BetVictor
Jonjo Shelvey 25/1 Coral 16/1
Kemar Roofe 22/1 Betfair
Michy Batshuayi 9/1 Skybet 14/1 Betfair
Victor Moses 10/1 Betfair 6/1 BetVictor 2/1
Tammy Abraham 22/1 Skybet

As things stand it seems the best we can hope for is Oumar Niasse or perhaps some unknown. I'll post updated odds here every few days and monitor the changes.

The bookies seam to think we will end up with niasse and only him! Hope they are wrong! Want a striker and a winger, don’t care if both young champ players

Id take Jono Shelvey all day long.

Talented no doubt, but a detestable little shit. When he rubbed Cabaye's nose in it after that fluky goal last season...

Bowen and Dack would be great.

Bookies odds are not a good way of assessing anything. They are largely determined by where people, who are guessing, are throwing their money.

Skybet is even worse as they have their own attached news outlet, which can influence where people are betting

Yes, very bad barometer on likely transfers and heavily manipulated odds in many cases to attract mug punters.

Cabaye made his choice and is long gone.
Shelvey in a deep role spreading the ball to Wilf, Andros and a quick striker would be awesome

I disagree, enough people around transfers i.e. players friends, family, agents and club officials know the likelihood of a transfer going through. You don't think if there's a good chance Abraham was coming here, his agent wouldn't let 10 of his mates know to lump on at 22/1? And they wouldn't tell their mates.

Slimani was a 28m club record purchase for Leicester . A fraction of that could turn out to be a superb piece of business, further supported with the Midfielder (who can also play wide and cross) as some have suggested already . In any event maybe we could incorporate him nicely into current preferred formation / midfield . His goals per game ratio is still very good after a bad year . He is also 6'2" . I would suggest that with Ruben he would be an excellent signing . But it is unlikely funds will stretch across those two .

This logic completely falls short as when this kind of thing happens there are no odds as bookies are not mugs and they shut up shop on anything that looks suspicious. By the time it gets to that point we will likely already have a vague idea at least whats happening.

This is also an extremely niche scenario, the vast number of odds still being a mixture of risk assessment and community influenced scaling, and it doesnt account for odds at any given time, just some of the ones that are close to being fulfilled.

Cabaye wasn’t exactly an angel. Lots of rough challenges, came across very badly when he went on strike at the Geordies, and off the pitch he had an affair with his Wife’s best friend. Ultimately what matters is if they’re a good player, and Shelvey is. Think he’d be class next to Luka.

That isn't what happens, once Skybet opens a market they keep it open until the transfer is completed. Danny Drinkwater is 4/9 on to go to Fulham and if a bit of money came in on him I'm sure they would shorten up the odds quickly.

Both you and Stavros make good points, but we've got a good bunch at the moment that seem like they're a good unit, he comes across as a trouble maker to me. I admit that I could be doing him an injustice, but that's my gut feeling.

Skybet absolutely do suspend betting when they feel suspicious patterns have come in

I would agree totally with those comments and assessments.
Unfortunately there is not a hope in hells chance of Shelvey coming to us, like the guy who suggested Bowen and Dack all would be excellent additions but way out of our price bracket especially with our Boards approach to transfers.

Surely Cenk Tosun at 6/4 are short odds and implies we are nearly favourites.
