DO you think that we should sell the injury prone Clarke and go out and get ourselves anouther keeper that may actually PLAY for us instead of collecting dust on the shelf?? Thoughts please...

Hmmm, wouldn't get for him though at the moment, what with him being injured at the current lack of spending in English Football, all depends on wether Alex stays or goes at the end of the season.

I'm happy to keep Aleks. If Clarke can't force his way back in when fit, then get rid of him. He's probably on more money than Kolinko anyway.

Keep him, competion for palces is always good. how much would we get for an injured goalkeeper in the current climate?!!

A back-up keeper should only be a back-keeper in name only. In reality he should be as good as the first choice.

How would an injured player pass a medical? He has to stay until he's fit. Personally I think Kolinko will go close season if not before. Alex is a flawed genius, but Clarke is the better keeper.

Any news on how long Kolinko will be out for?

Don't sell Clarke, because unless Francis leaves, Kolinko will be on his way out.

Should be number 1 keeper when he returns and if Russell Hoult is being tipped for England place as long as Robinson and Kirkland are not in the main picture I do not see why Clarkey shouldnt be!

If Clarke is as injury prone as you are insinuating then who else would be prepared to buy him??

Matt Clarke is the best goalkeeper we've had since Big Nige. He has to be kept, to sell him would be a horrendous mistake on a number of levels. Kolinko is of course widely documented as being on his way out at the end of the season. Furthermore I don't think we'd be able to find another keeper as good as Clarke for a reasonable price, and given the financial climate at the moment it would seem to me to be a very foolish move.

I have seen nothing from him to suggest he could play at international level, he shouldnt even be first choice at Palace

We need both keepers if we are playing Premiership football next season:)

Surely it depends how good the new Frenchman is. No one would buy Matt until he's proved his fitness again. Can't think Francis is too keen on keeping (sorry, nice pun though) Aleks after what happened.

Don't think we will sell Clarke. We currently have three senior keepers, two of whom have a contract which expires at the end of the season. It seems more likely that one of them will go. I also think it unfair to call Clarke injury prone, they have been rather exceptional injuries which have caused the problems, not your run of the mill knocks.

Thats the issue i have, rather exceptional injury indeed, got pissed in a restaurant i think it was and fell over outside cutting his finger/hand on some broken glass.

Fantastic!

Selling Clarke would be stupid, hes the best keeper outside the premiership (alongside Danny Coyne).

We've got good cover as well with Cronin coming through

Not at the moment, as it will be on a big sofa watching day time TV.
