All quiet on the transfer front.

Assuming that there aren't any 1st division clubs that are attractive enough (or can afford) to sign any of our players at the moment, dare I hope that the Premier League strugglers are going to leave us alone to have a good old crack at promotion with the squad we've got?

yeah - very quiet - i know all the money crisis would have kept it quite qiuet but nothing has happened - i cant really think of any D1 clubs to have aquired players

Even the Derby players (Rigott and Christie) are only going to Boro on loan, apparently.

Although Fowlers transfer to Man City appears to be back on.

5.5 million - what did Leeds pay for him again? :D

:bash: This is how I feel about Julian Gray. He's the only player I hoped would leave during the Transfer Window - any chance of that happening in 3 days?

Saying that he doesn't work hard enough for us so why would anyone else want him with that attitude - PULL YOUR SOCKS UP BOY AND PROVE ME WRONG!!!

Any thoughts?

Portsmouth have brought in a couple of players in Aiyegbeni and Heikkennen.
Most of the transfers were fairly low-key.
Preston did bring in Lynch, Gould, O'Neill and the South African from Basle though.

And will sign Sherwood today, allegedly.

i agree, get rid of gray, he had a few good games (just before the transfer window opened?!!?!?) but generally has looked very poor this season and not at all interested. We have Granville and borradale competing for the same place in the team. lets get some money for him. He may well do well for whichever club he goes to but if he doesn't want to play for Palace (and from his performances, I'd say he doesn't) then lets cash in and move on

The type of clubs who would consider Gray, don't have any money.

This creates two problems.

There is no where for him to go, and even if some club did come in for him, he would think he's too good for them anyway.

I believe they are hoping the latter reaches the parts that no other player can!!! :D

Last day today - I am pleasantly suprised that SJ has not moved one or two players on in a bid to reduce costs.....

Maybe this was as a result of the Liverpool game and the subsequent draw....

With the squad we have we should now be able to sustain a considerable challenge for the play offs - if we fail then time to make changes...

So he's our star player on the basis of that, the fact he doesn't try anymore doesn't matter.

Wasn't there a Portsmouth fan visiting the BBS earlier this season saying that Burchill was really something....yet, he has now gone to Dundee?
