According to the reserve game report Vugdalic was in the team against Arsenal. He is a Slovenian defender who was playing for Shakhtar Donetsk if I have the right person. Could be yet another defender coming in?

Is he a left back?

Particualrly like the last line!

"A truly defensive defender who rarely experiences life in the opposition's half.

Hepatitis ruled him out of action until recently but he has made a successful return to the game.

He left Maribor for Shakhtar Donetsk in July last year and had a short trial with Bolton Wanderers just before Christmas.

And he times his tackles to perfection and has also improved his distribution. "

Apparently a centre back, though not sure which foot he uses.

Apparantly he hasn't been quite the same player since his illness which would explain why we may be able to pick him up for nothing.

Was on trial with Bolton as well before - hopefully slightly better than Amir Karic!

If he never goes forward then I doubt there's any chance of him playing on the left, in which case I can only assume ID just wants to have even more defensive cover and if he joins this will push Powell and Leighterwood even further down the pecking order.

Do we really need another centre half?!

Yes.

I shall NOT be satisfied until we have completely cornered the market and have a unbreakable monopoly on them.

Its the Microsoft approach to winning.

And the same goes for GK's, midfielders and strikers.:p

midfield is where we need people, but if he makes our squad stronger then thats all that matters.

Potentially a very good if not a slightly footballingly agoraphobic signing.

If we sign him as well I am going to take grammer lessons so that I can pronounce our squad! ;)

Doesn't mean a lot, but I had a wee look at him on CM and he is more highly rated than any of our current defence.

Clarify. Are you merely correcting his spelling?

Don't remember the link, but there's one called Muamer Moribor, was at Bolton previously I think?

It will not be 'our squad' that he wants to pronounce, but some of the names of its members.

Nope. It's a more fundamental error.

Is it that taking grammar lessons wouldn't help you to pronounce the names of the members, because grammar has nothing to do with pronounciation?

That would be the answer. But at the time I could remember going to school for Grammar but I can not remember a class called pronounciation, nor at the time could I even spell it!

But the point remains as a true red n blue I need to be able to coherently rattle off the names of the squad/team without the risk of getting it wrong or getting so tongue tied that I have to issue a spray warning prior to the conversation on football.

I now understand that the insane cost Sky paid to televise footy was not high due to the demands of Man U etc but the demands of the commentators, who fearing ridicule wanted danger money when having to pronounce the names of so many foreign players in the Prem. League :) :)

The answer was indeed that he would need 'enunciation' lessons rather than grammar lessons (you didn't get the phraseology but I figured it was close enough). I'll be expecting the cheque in the mail tomorrow? ;)

enunication. Hmm. Now that would change for each foreign language. So how many tutors do I need 4 or 5

Any news on what has happened to him. Trying to get progress on this club signing players is like trying to confirm how many gunmen were located on the grassy knoll.
