Is any kind soul in the position to let me know whether we actually did open negotiations with any players in the run upto deadline day.

As this forum shows , there are a multitude of rumours but I wonder which players actually came to Selhurst with a view to sign.

Obviously the 3 boys who signed "made it" but I wonder how many had offers that were declined.

I get the impression that Gonzalez and Clement had firm offers but does anyone know if this was the case, who ( or anybody) else was given an the chance to come and why the dotted line didnt get signed.....

I think West Brom were put off selling Clement by the fact that he is their joint top scorer

SandownEagle played in the Football aid game and spoke to/overheard Symons and Jordan conversations that basically stated Clement and Kily Gonzalez were at the ground discussing terms.
